  1. As a Devils fan I’m glad we didn’t spend that money and lose a 2nd overall pick for him. Too much for him.

  2. Absolutely love this move for the Kings their biggest need was a top 6 left wing who is a highly skilled offensive player and they got one in Fiala for the 19th overall pick and a right handed Defenseman prospect, they have a logjam of really good right handed defenseman prospects they needed to get something in return for one of them to make some room cause not all of them were going to be able play and man did they get a good return

  3. Based on the trade it is a good deal for both teams. The Wild needed to trade Fiala, without taking back a big contract. The Kings get Fiala who may help them out a lot in scoring. Who wins, well it all depends on how well Faber, and the King's 1st round pick turns out in a few years. But right now advantage Kings

  4. Fiala is a solid player. He was either a budding superstar or an above average one way player for the Wild. During the regular season his results were better each year, and he was a highlight reel at times. Where he failed was in the playoffs. Three consecutive playoff years and three no shows. He failed at the biggest times when his team needed him most. The Wild could have locket him up 2-3 years ago if they wanted but didn't. On paper, it's clearly A good trade for the Kings. Whether he is worth the money he just received will be judged by how he performs in the playoffs for the next several years.

  5. Kings playoffs was a great test. They went 7 games with a packed Edmonton team, with 9 rookies on their roster and Ardvidson and DD out.

They gained experience and got to test their depth.
