Yeah it’s just fans looking at the names Nashville is linked to and your hell bent on getting that guy. It’s almost like wanting chick Fil a but you went into KFC.
Here´s another suggestion for a Matthew Tkachuk deal. The Predators get Matthew Tkachuk and Juuso Välimäki. The Flames get Mikael Granlund, Dante Fabbro, Colton Sissons and Eeli Tolvanen. Välimäki is a finnish defender and he´s a #16 overall draft pick by Calgary Flames in 2017. Välimäki´s height is 6´2 and his weight is 212. He´s a very good overall D-man, but Darryl Sutter put him in the Dog House last season for some reason. Välimäki has leader quality and he´s a well rounded D-man. He´s also competing hard. His contract is 1,550,000 for a season and it ends after next season. His market value is quite low right now, but the potential is there. Välimäki would be a safe bet. If he succeeds, the Predators could re-sign him after next season for a longer term. If he fails, his contract runs out. I think the Predators should offer the exactly same deal to Tkachuk as Gaudreau did, which is 9,750,000 AAV and seven years.
After this big trade deal the Predators could still go for let´s say Jesse Puljujärvi if he doesn´t see eye to eye with the Oilers management after the Arbitration. How about a 3/3 deal with him, 3 years and 3 millions? He would be a great addition to the second line at his best and at his worst he would be a really solid third liner. Yakov Trenin and Connor Ingram or Kevin Lankinen could move to Oilers in this trade. If this Puljujärvi trade wouldn´t happen, the Predators could either re-sign with Trenin or go after some other winger in Jesse´s caliber. I´m also sure that the good friends and linemates from TPS in Liiga, Juuso Pärssinen and Markus Nurmi, will make the Predators´ roster after training camp. After my moves the Predators would have this kind of a line up : Forsberg-Duchene-Tkachuk, Niederreiter-Johansen-Puljujärvi, Jeannot-Glass-Tomasino and Sanford-Pärssinen-Nurmi. Defensive pairings would be Josi-Ekholm, McDonagh-Välimäki and Lauzon-Carrier. Saros and Lankinen would be my ideal goalie tandem, but Ingram could also step in to Juuse´s back up goalie if Lankinen was traded to the Oilers.
If the Predators would go for J.T. Miller instead of Tkachuk, I think that Mikael Granlund should be kept outside that trade package. In my opinion if the Predators got Miller they could give Fabbro, Tolvanen, Sissons and Ingram or Lankinen in return to the Canucks. Then the Predators could keep Granlund in their roster and re-sign Trevin and they wouldn´t go for Puljujärvi or anybody else in his caliber. But they could still go for Välimäki. The Flames are doing nothing with him. Miller´s contract would probably be quite close to Forsberg´s.
I would like to see Nashville get Valimaki and trade Johansen and Fabbro
Two swiss dudes! Guess whose my favorite team now. Go Smashville.
Glad Nino gets to play with more talented linemates now. Never understood why the Hurricanes put him on the third line. Dude is too good to be a sole grinder.
Love the show bro
