EBUGs are always a great story. I love the hockey culture of opposing fans and teams showing respect to them even in the heat of competition.
This is awesome, reminds me of playing adult league and our goalie can’t make it so you ask another goalie from an opposing team to fill in. Give them your team jersey and they play like they’ve always have been ON your team. Congrats to this guy, must be cool to get congratulations from both teams. Just another reason why hockey is the best team sport!
Went to highschool with Tom in Plano. Was insane getting a text from my dad saying he was playing. Love that for him

Between Ayres and Scott Foster it's every beer leagues goalie dream come true. Love the EBUG rule…it takes unusual circumstances but yeah dreams come true. Don't think that Chicago will need a 51 year old to get hit with some pucks unless they just want a guy taller than Panger by 2 inches. But at least I can still dream….

What about if a team carries 3 goalies and 3rd guy is a healthy scratch for the game but during the game the starter and backup both get injured can they dress the 3rd goalie that was a healthy scratch or ur only allowed to use the EBUG that is designated for that game and aren't allowed to use the 3rd goalie that is a healthy scratch??
