Huh I guess I am first.
Where is everybody?
Dubois is gonna dip asap and the jets will have tossed a potential 50 goal scorer for basically nothing
Dubois probably took 6 and only for 1 season in case mtl trades for him itl make it easier for them to afford him then sign him longer next season with mtl having way more cap space next season
I mean if anybody big had to go I’m pretty okay with it being bjorky he’s bad defensively
GOOD! Habs dont need to push for PLD, like i said when he's free we can talk, considering the obvious rough relationship with the team now i doubt he can raise his value during this one season (insert mr burns: Ehhhhxcelllent) LOL
At least they got something for Bjorkstrand cough cough Vegas
The Blue Jackets signing of Gundbransen (sp) was catastrophic. Overpaid a payer that cost us a much better player.
Thank you for the info!! I'm relieved that PLD is not coming to MTL… Yet:)
IMO it's not bad to trade Björkstrand to Gaudreau and two pics. I say it's one of best trades ever. Even it's not straight trade…
Everyone needs more than there salary to be financially stable. The the best thing to do with your money is to lnvest it rightly because money left for saving always end up used with no returns..
its funny bc Habs wanted PLD so hard
Wow! Laine isn't worth 8.7 mil. Blue Jackets are going to hate this deal probably starting with the first game of this coming season
Jets need to go after Kadri
Just because he signed a one year deal at lower than he would have in arbitration doesn’t mean he won’t be a Hab this season! It doesn’t negate the possibility of a trade lol! He took less money In hopes the Habs can afford him with a cheaper
Contract
Also leaves the door open to sign a longer contract at higher term say umb in Montreal after the trade happens!
Never liked Laine and his poor attitude. Ever heard of defense?
Kraken had a nightmarish first season, but they seem to be doing a lot of positive things this summer.
I can’t believe the Kraken only had to give up a 3rd and 4th round pick.
Wow!
Hahaha Classic Lego!
The way I see it huge Blue Jacket and ex Blue Jacket ( PLD) news
Sad they couldn’t keep bjorkstrand, he’ll be forever loved in Columbus
Montreal has to wait for 2 years since at that point Montreal will have a better team. Also why overpay for PLD now when in 2 years he will be way cheaper and some players will come off the books for the canadiens. Only thing I question is his character. He wanted out of Blue Jackets and now from the Jets.
To say that Laine is WORTH the same as Crosby is the stupidest thing I've heard today.
2 man children lol
Damn that’s kraken fleecing baby!
The Cap will probably be at 86.5 million in 23-24, so the Jets are probably thinking they might be able to trade him from a position of strength once that is announced.
Losing him for gudbranson 🤦🏻♂️
i mean yeah lets be real we all know sid is worth more than 8,7 😀 he just likes the number too much.
Honestly the trade is win win. I cheer for Seattle and Columbus so Bjorky will do his job well in Seattle and Columbus keeps an excellent one two punch of Laine and Johnny.
Oliver is a treasure—take care of him please.
I’m sure someone else has said this… But it would be hilarious if PLD gets traded to Philly. It would be a Torts reunion.
What do you say at the end of all your videos? I can never understand phrase before And Bye..
Seattle won the trade, but they got Gaudreau for nothing so really Columbus wins. She’s salary to sign Johnny and Patrick. I don’t think the contracts will look good in 3 years though IMO
My heart breaks we lost Ollie but it’s better for the future of the franchise 😭
well I guess in a few years , if the Habs take Dubois, they will know kinda what he wants for payment….he ain't worth 6 or 7 million a year in 2 years !!!!…DON'T TAKE HIM IN THE FUTURE …HABS !!!
Why do the salaries keep going up so much when the Cap is barely moving? Does the NHL not want competitive teams?
There's some rumours that the Bjorkstrand trade also opened up space for Columbus to give extensions to Gavrikov and Nyquist, while also playing their more expensive and talented prospects (Johnson, Sillinger, Marchenko, Chinakhov, Jiricek).
So yeah it's an awful trade for them. But it makes sense. And from a big picture perspective: multiple years of Gaudreau, Laine, Gavrikov, and Nyquist, and being able to use those years maximizing your teams best young players on their ELCs, Bjorkstrand is a fair price.
Although it may seem disappointing to only get a 3rd and 4th round pick for Bjorkstrand, in the last 10 years or so the Blue Jackets have done an outstanding job finding value in the 3rd round and beyond. Notables include: Daniil Tarasov, Keegan Kolesar, Elvis Merzlikins, Oliver Bjorkstrand, Joonas Korpisalo (all 3rd round). Emil Bemstrom, Josh Anderson and David Savard (all 4th round). Matt Calvert (5th round). Vladislav Gavrikov and Cam Atkinson (6th round). Anton Forsberg and Markus Nutivaara (7th round).
Laine’s best years where in Winnipeg!!!
Laine’s best years where in Winnipeg!!!
The Jets management don’t know what the f they’re doing
Sooooooooo glad PLD is gone from CBJ! He is a cancer in any organization. Good riddance, clown.
Sad to read this stuff. Please think again ..
Sweet sweet wonderful Johnny just screwed 'his' team. Tkachuk AND PLD
did their team's a solid.
Chevaldayoff should be fired: not praised.
Buff, Trouba, Chariot, Myers, Maurice, Copp, Stasny now PLD are CHOOSING to leave. There is obviously a long standing problem that
is not getting fixed.
Keep praising Chevy
Cmon Lego
You're better than that
Keep losing
