With Romanov potentially going to KHL, the steal is real.
The Habs have, for the first time in my life, the potential of a power forward line with this kid, Slaf and Anderson. Lots a love for Romanov and wish him the best on Long Island but this trade is a huge win for Mr. Clean and the Habs new brass,. Exciting times ahead but fiiiirst we tank for Bedard;)

Dach is a marshmallow. Skates like he's drunk. Gets tossed around like a rag doll, and can't win a face off to save his life. If he's your second line center you're in DEEP trouble.

As someone who has actually watched kirby dach since day 1, he ain't it. That trade was about the only thing the hawks did right on draft day.
Doubts and fears destroys ability and fear of making mistakes causes more mistakes. Confidence brings out all your talents and allows you to create new talents so believe in yourself and you create talent and desire to move beyond and that is the impetus of modern coaching styles like MSL. Did you check out Slavkovsky's analytics compared to Wrights? Wright numbers puts him in a high percentile, Slafkovsky not so much! But of course you have a crystal ball eh? Kirby Dach for Romanov, You can guess whether he will rebound after underachieving for Romanov who was not underachieving, But once again you have a Crystal ball right? I hope it all works for the Habs but i am not going 2 pretend i have a crystal ball of can guess who will be better, The only thing you can go by is the numbers.

I think Dach will flourish under MSL along with the rest of the team. We haven't got a "player's coach" since Jacques Demers. All the coaches we had in between had a mentality of "It's my way or the highway".

Hope Dach does better in MTL. As a Hawks fan, I was very disappointed in his play for such a high pick. Soft, lackadaisical and not a good finisher.
