  1. Canucks should go to court if the Hawks do get a pass. Oilers should if they dont get the recap. NHLPA should be involved as there would be a dollar figure of potential player salary that just disappears

  2. Even if the recap doesnt apply, the 5m+ relief from his cap hit is worth him retiring. There is already a rule that forbids teams to offer anything to players to sweeten their decision to retire. If he does retire and the NHL does not honor the rules in the CBA, expect a huge can of worms to open of potential lawsuits and arbitrations. NHLPA will not like having 3+ million of player salary just go poof.

  3. why would duncs want to screw over the hawks? he is going to have his number retired by the hawks. not to mention, the hawks did him a solid and traded him to the team he wanted to go to in order for him to be closer to his son. i could be wrong, but i thought i've heard keith wants to continue playing past his current contract.

  4. if this potential recapture penalty is nulled by the league it will be a naked example of just how biased and arbitrary this mickey mouse league has become. how many years did the canucks have that albatross hanging around their neck. vancouver shouldn`t receive any dispensation for their actions, and in that same light, neither should any other team – including the black hawks!

  5. Stan Bowmen should have known that this is a definite possibility. If Kieth does, it won’t be his fault. Just another way Stan F’d up the Blackhawks.

  6. This won't be your last Oilers video Lego. Looking forward to the "Oilers sign Kuzmenko" vid 😉

  7. thanks for doing oiler content AP it an you. if he retiree's an we get the cap space an keep kane a get a goalie we can an could contend for the cup. its a plus plus

  8. just chill bro as a blackhawks fan. I'm totally fine with this one of the best

  9. Bruh, if the Hawks don't get a recapture penalty, the mayoor of Vancouver should sue the NHL cuz it might be end of Stanley Cup Game 7.

  10. Ur not very aware of the Hawks situation if you think Keith retiring (which he won’t) would “screw the Hawks”. Chicago is kicking off a rebuild and what is being reported looks more and more like a total tear down. Hawks will have issues hitting the cap floor soon lol salary cap isn’t an issue for Chicago right now or the next 3-5 years. 👍🏼

  11. I'm sick of the NHL's inconsistency. In every aspect. From DoPS to stuff like this. And it might be a coincidence but it always seems to have happened when the Oilers trying to do something. The whole "giving a pick when you sign a coach who isn't done their previous contract" comes to mind.

  12. I wonder if holland new about the potential benefits of an extra 3.4 mil cap space and overpaid to get Keith because of this

  13. Lol sounds like if the cap recapture hurts an American team the nhl steps in but if it hurts a Canadian team its no problem.

  14. I think Duncan Keith is still an NHL caliber player but he should be getting paid way less than 5 M per year. He should volunteer to drop his salary because on most teams he would be 3rd line player. As an Oilers fan I want him to retire as that would free up at least 5 M in cap space for the Oilers.

  15. I thank you for your coverage of the Oilers. I really do And Even though you're a fan of Another team. I like the way you cover Edmonton. That's why I'm subbed to you. I can listen to your reports and I don't sense any hate towards my team. I respect you for that

  16. Oilers were told the day they got Keith this would not happen. Wonder what they told the Hawks. If I'm Holland, I'm fixated on upgrading the defense and goal. Let Holloway, JP and Moto grow a pair. Between 97,29 and those guys there should be enough ofence.

  17. I loved him with bouch if he stays I’m fine but if not I hope bettman doesn’t screw us for no reason other than his hatered for all Canadian teams

  18. Horseshit by the nhl to screw the blackhawks and not give the oilers a cap surplus. Shouldn’t be allowed to do one without the other.

  19. because a canadian team is involved. If Bettman had his way there would be no Canadian teams. That's why we Call it the Bettman League.

  20. Lol…Keith retiring 100% factored into why Chicago had to trade Debrincat for magic beans.
