  1. As a Canucks fan, my expectations aren't high these days. If you're a Leafs fan though, to go into every year with the hype from the media, Stanley Cup expectations, and all that talent it has to be even more heart breaking every year.

  2. All the pressure is on the Leafs. They NEED to win this Game 7, as this is probably the last chance this core group has. They're going up against 5 previous postseason failures, an 0-9 record in series clinching games, and, oh yeah, the two-time defending cup champs. Kind of similar to what the 2011 Canucks faced with do-or-die Game 7 against the Hawks.

Will they rise to the moment tomorrow night, or will they wilt?

  3. Why did Campbell keep lifting his pad? Keep it on the ice and the puck doesn't go in. Bunting put the puck in the net. Disaster.

  4. Leafs won that game. They defeated Tampa and Tampa knows it. Refs have to help Tampa to get a losers win

  5. "Brayden Point! And the champs are still standing!" What a call. Bone chilling.

For the life of me, I don’t know what Auston Matthews was thinking. The puck comes toward him in the neutral zone, and he loses an edge, which happens, but instead of trying to stick with the play, he skates off to the bench? That does not make a lick of damn sense to me. You basically gave them free entry into the offensive zone with no backcheck or numbers in front of Campbell and he was soon overwhelmed by all the Lightning players in front of him. Now to be fair, the other 4 Leafs did get back in time to even the pressure in front of Campbell, but that one extra body might make the difference. In that situation, it’s all hands on deck. Get back in front of the net and fight to get the puck away from Brayden Point. I know this didn’t really happen, but as the old saying goes "perception is reality", and it looked to me like Matthews was giving up on the play. The same guy who scored the GWG in Game 5 had an opportunity to prevent the OTGWG in Game 6, but he didn’t. The momentum swung the Lightning's way from that point on and the Leafs never got it back. 48 hours later, the Leafs are out in the First Round – again. Smdh

  7. I wonder what all of the Toronto critics will say if Tampa bay wins 4 straight against Florida ? The people forget what happened last year . Shea Weber and Price rested all year returning for playoffs. It worked . Montreal had 18 million
to get players for the cap space and brought 18 million top 2 players for Montreal .
Every critic who's talking about 18 years first round knockouts.
Go back and see who Toronto played . Pittsburgh 2x won Stanley cup.
Boston 2x won Stanley cup 1 year .
Washington they won a cup too Tampa Bay 2x champions and can be a 3rd. Toronto plays in the best conference in the NHL with more cup winners in those
    18 years.
So now Tampa bay up 2 -0 on 2022 president trophy winner .
Montreal tryed giving Price and Weber until playoffs again but didn't make it . And now has first overall pick. Every team in eastern conference
will be fighting for playoffs 22-23. Ottawa ,Buffalo and Montreal will be hard to beat . Buffalo will make the playoffs and Boston will be rebuilding .
Without a winning goalie Toronto will not win and yet they could still be playing .
The western conference is the worst yet Edmonton or Calgary will make round 3 and they are done. St Louis or Colorado will destroy both. Tampa Bay vs Colorado finals Tampa bay in 5.
