  1. As a Frölunda fan i wanted to leave this here for you detroit fans, in the short time after this video released we have seen a massive step in the right direction from Söderblom with things like decision making. Now he will make those dumps in neutral zone and will make those passes when he needs to. As the SHL playoffs began he really took his game to a new level. It is only 4 games in the playoffs so far but the trend is pointing upwards and it is really exciting to watch!

  2. kinda reminds me of Marek Malik a 6'6 with smooth hands..

but in the NHL they wanted him to be a physical player (roughneck goon) because of his size.. thus making him having difficulties to adapt

  3. He has great shooting and puck handling, but he's so slow and awkward. In the NHL he's not going to find it that easy to be the one-man show keeping the puck away from everyone else. They'll steal the puck from and be gone with it.

  4. This young man is a MONSTER, with Mo and cool hand Luke, this is going to be fun to watch for years to come. Thanks again Stevie Y.

  5. You are obviously Swedish, I can tell from the accent. What I don't understand is why you miss pronounce Elmers name and go "Soduerblum" when you already know how to properly say it.
He's name doesn't change just because you change language, you've obviously seen way to many commentators pronouncing swedish names, so many infact that you seem to have forgotten that they themselves don't speak swedish which is the reason they pronounce our names wrong. You would've never done the opposite, imagine Kane in swedish. Even though you're swedish you say "Kayne" not "Kaaane"

  6. Bottom 6 and 2nd pp unit. At the moment 1st line in Detroit is untouchable and if Vrana plays in 2nd line, I would not put a young guy whose defensive game is iffy and who gives up puck a lot in the same line with Vrana. He may have chance to play few games in nhl when he leaves sweden but most likely atleast 2 seasons in ahl and there we see if he is a potential nhler

  7. Jatte Bra Grabben! You highlight the best and talk about the weaknesses wherein Elmer needs improvement. As a European you do not comment on Elmer's "fore checking" abilities that translate well on special teams penalty kill. Yet you also mention that Elmer will "post up" in front of the net like Tomas Holmstrom or "the Mule" Johan Fransson. For myself I would like to see him become a better passer at the AHL level AND spend more time in front of the net where he could and should pick more and more rebound "trash goals" given his size 😳😳😳202cm HJALP MIG! Great Video. Strong pronunciation and enunciation ….solid diction WITHOUT rushing. Well Done! Just remember in the future young man it took me …3 months …att uttala, 'Sju sjuka sjomanner som skotas av en sjukskotaska pa skundande skepp'!!!! 😄😄😄😳😳🙃🙃🙃🙄🙄🙄😎😎😎😎🏒🏒🏒🏒🏒🏒🏒🏒🏒🏒🏒🏒🥅🥅🥅🥅🥅🥅GOAL

    P. S. "Anyway" is NOT A NOUN. "Anyway" has NO PLURAL. Sa snalla Grabben tank pa det …and avoid the LAZY North American habit of saying "Anyways" or sounds like a strong "z" sound "AnywayZ" …NOT good. Avoid jokes about how you may sound like a German instead of a Swede, eh? Otherwise well done …well done.

  8. Wings fan here and I'm pretty excited about this kid. That being said…. I expect the small ice to be tough for him at first. He can't hold the puck as long over here. He'll learn that quick.

  9. It’s one thing to be big.
But to be big and good!
    Well, there you go! 🏒🥅👍
    But like Stevie Y says:
    Patience.

  10. Great video, but I noticed his +/- is not on the positive side. I know that this number is affected by a bunch of things, you really don't mention anything about his defensive play.

  11. He’s not the net front guy on the PP. He’s on his offside on the circle so it makes sense he’s not getting tip ins on the PP. It’s a lot harder to score with a one timer than right in front of the net. That’s how good his shot is. They want him in the one timer spot. That says it all in my opinion. He has an NHL shot and in my opinion it’s his skating and skating alone that NEEDS to be improved

  12. Seriously?? Another Steve Yzerman draft pick that looks like a steal?????… Go figure.. who saw this (again) right?.. 😄😁👌

  13. We will welcome him with open arms….this team needs him…Hope he is ready for the NHL. I t sure sounds like it!!! I am sure Training Camp will tell the tale.

  14. With 5 new UFA signings, Elmer doesn't need to feel the pressure to make it NOW. He can spend a year in Grand Rapids, learn the smaller ice surfaces and quicker reaction times needed to avoid forecheckers quicker. He'll probably pick up more assists now that we have some finishing talent when he gets here.

  15. He can skate.. height, length and reach advantage along with stick skills! Hope the kid has an upside!
