  1. He's a young, TOUGH ASS NAILS type player! I've loved him since he was drafted, and can't wait to see what Namey can do for us!!!

  2. When the season is slow to start we, the pale natives of the north, challenge you to shinny . Glad your a wing !

  3. Hah Kulfan mustve had his coffee today! Lol hes sounded grumpy lately.

Very pumped about this signing, all our signings except Greiss actually. Not that Im disappointed in Greiss signing, just concerned. Namestikov will bring some great experience to the team and some structural stability to our play. Very good signing imo. In Steve we trust

  4. Great sign, as well as the others. Definitely cant wait to get this season underway!

  5. Marksteom is going to be kicking himself in the butt in about 2 years once he realizes he missed the yzerman train.

  6. It's crazy how different the Red Wings roster is gonna look from game one to start the 2020-21 season from this past season.. low risk, high quality, under the radar acquisitions by Steve Yzerman showcasing himself as one of the most respected GM's in the NHL right now.. notable starting players probable for the start of next season.. Goalie Thomas Greiss, defenseman Marc Staal, Jon Merrill, Troy Stecher.. forwards Robby Fabbri, Sam Gagner, Vladimir Namestnikov, and Bobby Ryan! That's like 9 notable acquisitions/ starters that we'll see in next season's lineup that wasn't in the past season and I'm predicting that the Red Wings would definitely contend for a playoff spot with the chemistry that was already founded there, acquiring winning characteristic guys! Most with playoff experience!.. Steve Yzerman literally has changed 45% of this team starting roster from this past season to this upcoming season!! mind you this isn't even talking about the up-and-coming talent we have through our draft and playing in the minors in overseas currently right now!! Lol talk about your handprint on changing the culture swiftly with this team! Boi oh boi Stevie is doing what he does best!😛 LET'S GO RED WINGS!

  7. For most of these signings by Stevie, I am thinking "Sweet we can trade these guys for assets at the deadline." But this guy I really want to see catch on and stay here with the Wings for some time. He already likes the city and the franchise, so I want them to like him back. If that makes sense. Really cheering for the guy. Go git it, Vlad.

  8. Another signing I love from Stevie Y. Actually hasn’t been one I haven’t liked since he took over 😂 It’s also really cool to hear the players say how much they want to be here in Detroit & help the rebuild. Steve Yzerman carries a ton of respect around the league and it weighs a ton too. Look at the players he was able to bring (on team friendly deals nonetheless) to this 17 win team. LGRW

  9. Man Holland was bad towards the end.. So glad to have a competent GM making moves like these

  10. No roster spots for Zadina, BROME,Raymond, Rassumen, Seider, Lindstrom, Brattstrom which i can't see why we signed him for a year. Brattstrom could have easily been our goalie.

    Expected lines

    Bertuzzi-Larkin-Mantha
    Fabbri-Namestnikov-Ryan
    Svechnikov-Gagne-Helm
    Neilsen-Filppula-Glendening
    ERNE, Smith

    Merill-Hronek
    Staal-Stecher
    Nemeth-Deykeyser
    Biega

    Greiss
    Bernier

  11. So far my favorite signing by Yzerman. We needed another top line center, he's a hometown kid (for the most part), he has Red Wing roots. I liked him when he was with Tampa. He could center the 2nd or 3rd line and make either an immediate upgrade. Maybe center Bobby Ryan and Zadina. Although I really want Veleno to center Zadina and Fabbri.
