  1. I'm glad that the Cat ended the game with a shoot out goal for the W. It was only right that Pat ended his fantastic career calling "Hawks win! Hawks win!"

  2. I was at the game! It was hard to hold back tears. Such an amazing ceremony and honor for such an amazing announcer and person

  3. Congratulations 🎉 Pat Foley for 39 years of being a radio announcer. You truly will be missed and you have always been the voice for the Blackhawks and you always will be. Happy retirement Pat Foley you deserve it in a good way of course. I hope that you will come back and visit and still cheer on for the Blackhawks.

  4. Try announcing a game sometime live while it's happening. You'll last about 10 seconds before you realize how stupid you sound and that you've run out of things to say. Foley was a true pro. Not quite Mike Emrick, but awfully good. Congrats Pat. We'll miss you.

  5. Sure gonna miss Pat. Best hockey announcer on the planet. I never miss a broadcast but it will never quite be the same

  6. I was at the game last night and the stakes couldn’t have been any higher, the team + the building had playoff type energy, couldn’t have been happier that we won that game for Pat ! I will never forget last night

  7. he is arguably Chicago's all time announcer. He will be missed not hearing his calls

  8. As a Wings fan growing up in the 80s and 90s, I loved listening to pat and Dale, even though I hated listening to his calls when the hawks would beat the wings. I dreaded when his voice would raise as the hawks got a scoring chance, often resulting in a goal. I rank him as one of the best of all time, along with Dan Kelly, Bruce Martyn, etc. Good sense of humor, too. You'll be missed Pat. Enjoy retirement.

  9. Thank you Pat Foley for the last 39 years of announcing Chicago Blackhawks hockey iconic voice that will be sadly missed good luck on your retirement and may you enjoy the game as a fan as much as we do thanks again.

  10. Next to Lloyd Petit Pat Foley was the voice of the Hawks so many great calls will miss him best of luck Pat in your future you were one of the best voices for the game of hockey

  11. Greatest announcer imo period. Who retires at 39 year mark? Not 40? Wondering what’s the real story? Remember, same team that fired him. I was WTF then. I’m WTF now!

  12. Thanks for the memories Pat, my childhood was spent staying up late watching the Hawks games with my dad. We'd always be hoping for a "Hawks win!" and "this is Pat Foley hoping you enjoyed the broadcast, we know you enjoyed the outcome!"

  13. As Harry Carey said a long time ago when he was still broadcasting the Cardinals in St. Louis the guy behind the microphone is the only connection for fans who couldn’t afford a ticket or travel from out of town to see a game live. Thanks Pat for being that voice and making hockey so entertaining. The Black Hawks have had two of the best voices in Pat and Lloyd Petit who was behind the microphone back in the ‘60’s when I first started following hockey.

  14. In my opinion, the BEST play by play announcer in hockey history and the BEST Chicago play by play announcer. He was by far the best and is irreplaceable.

  15. There will NEVER be another Pat Foley EVER!! The man had a voice MADE for calling hockey games, and had a very unique style in describing games, with his classic 'quips' that were always sure to be bring a little chuckle and smile to go along with his brilliant play by play description of the game. 🥅 🏒
    …..Well done, Pat….VERY well done! 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏

  16. As a die-hard Blackhawks fan, games will never be the same without you. Thank you for the exciting calls, your humor and at times for speaking your mind even though it may have been controversial. You will definitely be missed being heard in Chicago. Get this man a banner on the rafter. He’s a champ.

    Things I will miss hearing:

    • Hawks Win! Hawks Win! Hawks Win!
    • He Scores!!
    • Turdy-tree and a turd.
    • Soft serve.
    • We know you enjoyed the outcome.
