  1. The team looks good, but isn't there a minimum cap hit they have to hit from their expansion draft? Not counting extensions, but purely have to hit?

  2. Yanni Gourde is one of my favorite Lightning, besides Tyler, hope Johnson becomes a Kraken.

  3. I feel a good defence is the starting point and you did a great job there! Go Kraken !

  4. I know a lot of people like Jarnkrok, but as a Preds fan that’s exactly who I want them to take. I can’t get over us protecting him over James Neal with LV. I get they wanted to dump his contract and this is why I’m not an NHL gm, I just really loved Neal 😂

  5. isnt there too many players drafted without a contract? i thought that was a thing in the things you had to meet when you picked

  6. Like the picks but you never really took anyone to flip for good draft to really stock and load the camp for future successes. But if it was a one off season…. You built a solid team.

  7. I hope Yzerman offers Francis a 6th or 7th rounder in order to leave
Stecher alone. I believe the Wings will be relevant by 24/25 and
Stecher is the right age to see us to the playoffs again.

  8. There is no point drafting Price when you have such good goaltending options available. If you could get a 1-2-3 of Driedger, Holtby and Kahkonen, why would you need Price for the risk?

  9. I don't really pay much attention to what a player did 2-3 seasons ago… especially if they fell off afterwards (Ex, Galchenyuk). Not sure why people always think there is still a chance these players will return to form…

  10. Them taking stecher makes sense,… he’s going to haunt us Canuck fan like Tyler toffoli did,…

  11. Giordano is a no brainer as for the rest of them I agree, I feel that there should be some drama , so since the little trick that MTL tried to pull with Jesus Price to get him back with a lower salary, not to forget that they've declared that he is injured just last week so nobody pick him … I hope that they go for Ovi . That would make it exciting …will it happen..not sure

  12. I think the insider report from Dangle about Domi is injury related. I've seen a lot of reports that Columbus exposed him because his rehab from his shoulder surgery was delayed or had a setback, and Domi won't be able to play until January or later. Apparently this was something that was known a week before the protection lists were finalized. Growing belief Seattle hasn't even considered Domi.
Good video, seemed a lot more realistic than most floating around. I just mentioned the Domi thing because you seemed unsure about it now.

  13. I think Seattle should definitely take Tarasenko although it might be a little risky considering his injuries but I believe he can still score min 25 goals a season IF he's fit. Drafting Tara would also bring more attention and following for the Kraken since he would bring some star power and I feel people would be interested to see how a change of scenery affects his game. Anyways Im super excited to see who the Kraken pick and how they will do in their first season. Are they a complete flop or can they repeat the unbelievable inaugural season that Vegas had?

  14. I would pick Ovi from Capitals. Don't care how big or long his contract is, don't care how old he is. He is the best scorer since Gretzky, and if one has a chance to get him one needs to use it. To have a chance that Ovi passes Gratzky's lifetime goal tally in Seattle uniform is once in a lifetime opportunity. And even if Seattle doesn't want to retain Ovi they could flip him and get some good assets back (especially from a team that needs a player like him to be the final piece for the Cup run).

  15. I have a love- hate with zadorov. He is the biggest shit talker and dirty player. Reminds me a Tiny bit of Pronger but love to watch him for that hit.

  16. I’m pretty sure Carey Price will go to Seattle. There was this thing I heard about how his summer home is in BC and he lives near there, and something about his wife’s family living right near there. I don’t know exactly what it said.

  17. Seattle COULD DRAFT OVECHKIN / LANDESKOG / TARASENKO & PRICE!

(and still fit under the Cap!)

I've adjusted this roster to take all 4 superstars available! (Still fits all of Cap-Friendly expansion simulator requirements!) Leaves me about $6 Mill. to give my UFA's: Landeskog a $3 Mill. raise, to $8.5 Mill., and Ovie a $2 Mill. raise, to $11.5 Mill., and a $1 Mill. raise to Larsson. Only other UFA to sign is Oleksiak, and (IF I have to) I trade DeSmith's $1.25 & either Oleksiak's $2.1 or Butcher's $3.7 Mill. to sign my RFA's. AND !.!.!… wouldn't have to move anyone if Price starts the season on LTIR – MAGIC, that !!

    (LW / C / RW – LD / RD)

    OVECHKIN / LANDESKOG / TARASENKO – LAUZON / A. LARSSON

    NIEDERREITER / ATHANASIOU / APPLETON – HÄGG / NUTIVAARA

    BAILEY / McCANN / VOLKOV – BUTCHER / RUTTA

    E. SVECHNIKOV / GAUDETTE / NIETO – OLEKSIAK / G. CARLSSON

    Goal: PRICE / KÄHKÖNEN

    Additional Forwards:

    J. GAUTHIER / TRENIN / RITCHIE / MacEWEN

    Additional Defensemen:

    BORGEN / SAARIJÄRVI

    Additional Goalies:

    DeSMITH / DACCORD

Can you believe that lineup is possible?!? Guaranteed playoffs in Pacific Division, even if Price is injured to start on LTIR for half the season. (which would free up $5 Mill., allowing to keep DeSmith / Kahkonen 1a/2a tandem until Price returns.)

Further, consider this: Ovie going for Gretzky's record against Pacific Div. G's instead of the Metro's! With prime superstar linemates. And sell living in Washington State over Washington, D.C.? No brainer, lifestyle wise! Landeskog getting to feed EITHER of those snipers on his wings! No worse than his current wingers, but again, not freezing his butt off through Denver winters! Pacific NW lifestyle, without Vancouver TAXES! This would not be a hard sell at all.

    GO KRAKEN!!!
