  1. you guys follow hockey? Price will be back for the beginning of the regular season, or shortly thereafter it was announced.

  2. Move to Quebec already! They have a new stadium & they've been begging for years. 8 teams in Canada let's go! 🍁

  3. As an Coyotes fan, I hope that they figure it out and stay in Arizona.

  4. I still think the Coyotes are in financial trouble. Bettman wants a team in Arizona.
I disagree with Dangle – Away fans can see there team in Arizona cheaper. Last Season when the Avs were in Arizona they had more fans in the arena than Coyote fans.

  5. Knowing the outstanding success the Coyotes have been the past 25 years, there is no chance that the proposed idea for an arena gets built. From what I hear the current owner has problems paying its outstanding bills and player bonuses as it is, not to mention the rent to Glendale, which lead to them being booted. I am also sure ESPN won't cry if the Coyotes moved. NBC Sports never broadcast Coyotes games nationally and the TV ratings in Arizona have been abysmal at best. As far as Winnipeg goes Chipman and Thompson are very happy with their team and the revenue it produces in a die hard Canadian market. Winnipeg needed a new arena back then. It wasn't built and the team left. True North built the new arena in downtown Winnipeg and never looked back.

  6. It hurts that there is never good news in Arizona because whenever there is any doubt about anything in the franchise, its always, "When are the Coyotes leaving? When can we welcome Houston to the NHL? When will Hockey finally come back to Quebec?" Guys it isn't Arizona that's the problem is the fact that the Stadium is in Glendale. Most of the hockey fans in AZ live in the East Valley and Glendale is too far of a drive to make on workdays. If the Tempe deal works out, the franchise should be fine.

  7. As a fan of hockey let's say that the coyotes do get get a new arena in Tempe and it will likely take two years to build it and then they move into the building to play and they still aren't financially successful in Arizona relocation talk will be brought up yet again so instead of going through that headache again move the team to Houston now since we know that hockey is financially successful in Texas

  8. Bettman's ego would never allow the Coyotes to leave the desert, especially for a Canadian city. He would sooner dissolve them.

  9. Jessie's idea is interesting but wouldn't work, I think. If you move the Coyotes temporarily, you'll probably lose the existing market even further. Whereas New Orleans had to move due to something they couldn't control

  10. I used to be on the "move 'em" side of things. I have realized that it won't happen. The constant changes in ownership, management, on the ice, all makes it hard to gain lasting traction.

  11. Absolutely amazing how much information is out there you guys could have remotely looked at, but didn't.
Miss on the old arena name, miss on even pronouncing Tempe, just embarrassing honestly.

  12. As much as the Veterans Memorial Coliseum is being thrown around, that arena is so antiquated, I'm not sure if the NHL approves it. Nassau only got approved for a temporary return after the building was renovated (and after everyone realized how shitty Barclays was for hockey, but I digress).

The Suns' arena was just renovated, and they removed the stuff necessary to make an ice rink in there. The hockey setup, anyway, was Barclays before Barclays came around.

Jesse's idea makes the most sense, and sounds the most lucrative. Houston is all but guaranteed one of the next two NHL franchises anyways, so may as well try it out.

  13. Montreal has a Captain: Shea Weber. No official statement has been made, but expect him back for the playoffs.

As for the Yotes, I think it's time for us to BRING BACK THE ATLANTA THRASHERS.

  14. Here’s how you stop talking about this….move this gawd awful Bettman mistake to an actual hockey market. If Quebec isn’t gonna happen right now because of conference alignment (hopefully a relocated Florida soon) then move this team to Portland, Kansas City etc. One thing this league DOES NOT need is more teams. It’s already saturated. The NHL shouldn’t even have 30 teams. Stop this insanity.
