I mistakenly listed Simek as RFA, it's actually Mario Ferraro

Let us know what you expect from the Sharks this off season
Trade Burns !
As happens with most teams that experience a fair amount of success, they pay their stars far too much money for far too long. Then when their stars fade, they are stuck with a super high cap with a failing team.
Well done ,trade Burns .
Sometimes I forget the Sharks are still in the NHL.
The Sharks have fallen back the past 3 seasons after that great playoff battle with the Blues in 2019—I suspect they will be a middle-of -the -pack team for a few more seasons–the lack of secondary scoring after the big guns is definitely an issue that needs to be addressed. GM Wilson is gone now, so, a new direction is needed. Thanks to Nick from Twisted Wrister for his input about the Sharks.
It would be great if the Sharks would stop handing out 7-8 year contracts.
not sure simek is a rfa this offseason!
Thanks again for having me on the channel, Mike! Crikey…this team needs to start making big decisions to steer the ship around. Forever loyal to team teal nonetheless 🦈
What about Ozzy Wiesblatt? Will he make the roster you think?
Sharks were #2 in PK because they are used to chasing the puck constantly in their own zone, and then icing the puck when they finally get the puck.
we need to fire bob. trade burns for sure as much as id hate to see him go… i do think that in about 2-3 seasons we will have a break out year and possible make the cup finals. well see tho question for anyone is there a chance this team could be relocated to somewhere else? or is that crazy thought
Burns is old and makes A LOT of mistakes. Tons of giveaways. Let him go.
Sharks have a lot of over paid dudes that aint producing shit… kinda seem like they're the biden administration but not as much bullshit
Ugly truth: you have to retain salary to get the big guys traded.
8:15 "It was just really a chance to bring him back for the final year and give him a chance to be part of the team and play in the AHL."
The reason they brought Stalock back was actually that both Reimer and Hill were out with injuries and their third string goalie (Sawchenko) had played a few minutes as backup but never had an NHL start (though he did have his first start the next day).
the Stars are in worst problems with cap than the Sharks. so trading players to stars will be unlikely
Need to get rid of that disastrous karlsson contract at all cost then move Burns and Vlasic for sure, Sharks should be on rebuilt mode.
one of the reasons for low attendance was the Covid restrictions at SAP Center put in place by the County of Santa Clara.
Sharks should NOT trade Burns at all, he was their best defenceman by far this year rather than a liability. They should instead trade Kevin Labanc, Adin Hill, and Radim Simek. They will probably buy out the contract of Marc Eduord Vlasic as they must also sign Mario Ferraro to a new contract (RFA). They need to be active on the UFA market and get some scoring talent on the right wing. The other contract that was a big mistake was Erik Karlsson because he has turned out to be injured so much that he has become ineffective in leading the team to the playoffs. Seeing how well Evander Kane has played for the Edmonton Oilers this playoff year while on a top line and his best behavior shows all Sharks fans what could have been the perfect player for the Sharks, but that best version of Kane never showed up in San Jose, just a shadow lost in himself. Sharks have been bewitched and need a proper exorcist. The best GM for them would be Jumbo Joe Thornton after he retires from the Florida Panthers.
Move Karlsson’s contract, no matter what it takes. Get defenseman who play defense and play body. Build around Barabanov hertl and Meier
Fire sale, get rid of any of those big contracts you can. Burns, Vlasic, Karlsson, Lebanc, and yes even Couture. This team is not going to compete for awhile. Total tear down and rebuild. Most likely will have to eat a chunk of all those contracts. But will help the team in the future
Nailed it on the Burns to Dallas. I would also expect him to be willing to go back to Minnesota, be traded to Florida teams, and possibly Carolina. He does want to compete for the Cup I’m sure but he will be selective on which States/Territories he’d go to. As an arm chair GM I’d look into moving him back to a forward position. The Sharks really do need more Power Forwards to go along with there younger, smaller talent. He’d create plenty of space for these kids and even couture would have a better bounce back year if he skated alongside Burnzie. 10 goals as a D man he for sure could double that playing on the 2nd line and running point/ quarterbacking a power play unit still.
Wilson gone, get rid of one defender, get more scoring, pick up solid D's that aren't superstars
It has clearly been proven that GSW is the only team that can bring joy to the SF Bay Area. Every other team surrounding them has had a really hard time being like the way they are, except the Giants from the early 10's. I wonder when another bay area team will ever get over their hump and win it all.
rebuild trade Brent and Logan.. Buyout vlasic this year.. Good 3-4 years before they can get good again..
San Jose. Needs a great GM. Definitely a New Coach. Would like to see them get a solid Goaltender between the pipes. Power Play needs help. They have some talented players, so talent is not an issue. Hope they get better because I love the Sharks and love hearing Randy Hahn on calls
Burns to Dallas seems very interesting. Without Burns, can the Sharks be as offensive from the Blue line and can they be a better team next season? How much will Ferraro & Kahkonen need in RFA money? Are Eklund and Bordeleau Ready? In a meet and greet with the Sharks team President Jonathan Becher 3 months ago, he promised us a better team moving forward. It seemed like the wheels were already churning in April when we met.
Ever heard of COVID? Christ, at least take a nanosecond to think about why attendance would be down. 😂
We better be going after a proven winner in a gm and not for an " outside the box" type from what I'm hearing. They NEVER work out.
the Sharks have needs in many spots and given their cap space problems they'll have to be judicious about what they do. Reimer has been VERY solid and they shouldn't waste time trying to get better or deeper in net. Prob need to move the Burns contract, likely to Dallas; could they get Klingberg or Esa Lindell in return for Burns plus a #2 pick?? But what they need most is more 5-on5 scoring by getting younger and faster. They should try to sign Ilya Mikheyev, a UFA from Toronto, keep Meier, Hertl, Barabanov, Bonino, Gregor, Dahlen, Bordelau, Eklund…but might want to see who they can get in return for Couture and Labanc. On D, keep Ferraro, Megna, Karlsson, Merkely…fill rest with journeymen or prospects. Get rid of Gadjovic ..and consider a coaching change -Barry Trotz would be the dream coach, … or possibly even a GM candidate?
English is not my native, sorry for any grammar problem, but i follow sharks for a long time. They traded important draft picks in the past years and now they are unable to get the new Crosbys or McDavids….. Vlasic, Labanc, Burns, Karlsson has awful contacts… i loved them very much but at least they got rid of Marleau and Thornton, you cant win the Stanley with 40 yr old players who passed their prime years ago…. i think currently the team needs at least 7-8 years to rebuild as the only players who are good enough to be in a league beater team is Hertl and Meier….
this team is full of overpriced queens pointing fingers playing like ass.
