  1. keep him unless the return is too good to pass up. he isnt surrounded with A+ quality players around him, so best to give him more time. i'm disappointed in rasmuessen, zadina, etc from holland era. but there is still a strength to have young players that still have a lot of potential, instead of older over the hill players.

  2. I mentioned this in a previous video but it wouldn't surprise me if there is an offer an the Arizona's table from Detroit that includes, Zadina, Rasmussen and Detroit's 2022 1st round pick in exchange for Chychrun. Arizona will likely get a better return than that for Chychrun but I'm sure Stevie is trying at least for a deal something like this. Detroit badly needs left shot D-men. All of their current players on the left side are old, declining and underperforming.. Leddy's giveaway that led to a Blackhawks goal last night against Chicago when Detroit had come within 1 goal was brutal. Wouldn't surprise me if Leddy doesn't fetch nuch of a return at the trade deadline. All if these defensemen are on expiring contracts as well. Chychrun is young and fits the Red Wings timeline and is signed to a team friendly, cost controlled deal for several more years. If Stevie Y can pull off a trade like this it would really be great for the organizations defense core.

  3. Send him down to GR until he finds his game. do not let him go as of yet, too much potential.

  4. Would I trade him? Not yet. It, of course, depends on the offer… but I wouldn't be shopping him around.

The expectations put on him is also why people should always temper their expectations. Drafts are just a roll of the dice.

As for Zadina himself… bombs from the dot aren't working. He needs to take it to the net more. Clean up the rebounds, get some garbage goals. He could expand his game that way, rather than try to make something work that just isn't.

  5. I don't think anyone is giving up a 1st rd pick for him, but I fully believe he'd bloom under a new team. I wonder if Detroit will see if there is another team with a solid young player/prospect in a more relevant position of need, such as LD. I could see a trade that would potentially involve Zadina for Jordan Harris + swap each others 2nd rd picks this year. There's no way a team is giving up more than that IMO. Most likely is he gets a bridge contract.

  6. Too bad stan bowman was fired. He woulda coughed up a 1st and our best rhd prospect for another "fresh start project"

  7. Zadina is the type of player that needs to be surrounded by play makers. When he was playing with Vrana he was playing a lot better.

  8. As a Ranger fan I think a fair trade would be

    Rangers: Zadina

    Red wings: Kravtsov
    2022 3rd round pick
Both players get a needed change of scenery

  9. A little less than Mantha . Maybe 2x2nd rounders. Otherwise he’ll be 3rd line or worse next year, and that’s not his game. Maybe Toronto or Vegas

  10. Come on Lego no one gets better after turning 34. The "off year" Petry is having is his age catching up with him and it won't be getting any better. Petry for Zadina is great for Montreal but beyond awful for Detroit. Would you trade Caulfield for Staal or Leddy?

  11. What do I want from a Zadina trade. Austin Mathews or Conner McDavid? Or both? (You asked a silly question!) Seriously, I don't think they would get a 1st round pick. So why trade him now? You know what you've got with him. You don't know what you might get with a draft choice.

  12. The Wings won't quit on Zadina before they quit on Rasmussen. Nonsense, way early for these conversations.

  13. Realistically, 2nd and 3rd.
Yzerman did nothing wrong, Zadina was best player available at No.6. Hughes was smaller and they went for power forward type. 31 GMs including Benning would of selected Zadina if he was available at No.7. It was just lucky we got Hughes.

  14. man you just had to kick the crap out of the Flames didn't ya. :*( On the Zadina front, I think I'd wait on him if I'm Detroit as you won't likely get a 1st rounder for him, maybe a 2nd rounder and a mid-level prospect.

  15. Zadina for Kirby Dach straight up. Both are struggling on their respective clubs and could thrive with a change in systems and scenery. Dach has 123 games, 16 goals and 31 assists for 47pts. Zadina has 129 games, 20 goals and 29 assists for 49 pts. Almost identical statistics. Do it.
