  1. All I know is Edmonton is going to be significantly worse this year

  2. It’s just a pto Lego, not like he’s officially on the team. Giving him a chance is something, it’s like you’re praying on his downfall.

  3. everything you said about Virtanen applies to Puljujarvi- and V will cost 750K instead of 3M

  4. McDavid and Virtanen played on the same line together at World Juniors. That might have something to do with it.

Also, I really don't think Travis Green was a good coach for Virtanen, or the Canucks. So I wouldn't discount him bouncing back somewhere else.

  5. Giving Virtanen a shot on the 3 line is not a bad idea, he keeps the cap down . And cost you nothing, a 1 yr. contract only.

  6. The more I watch Gio's vids the more I feel like my hockey IQ is getting lower and lower. Time to stop playing with Legos man and grow up. You have a talent, stop wasting it by acting like a child.

  7. ShotGun is okay , he just has to quit partying during the season. Big, fast and can hit hard. If he can be under control. And if you look at his Jr career you get enticed. And yes he may never get it. But Greene used him as a punching bag. I would not count him out as being a NHLer. But also Lego Jake shows signs of being a lot better. Actually him and Puljujarvi are very close to being the same. Mind you this could be his last crack at the NHL and he better be prepared. I would not expect more than thirty points.

  8. Virtanen is definitely a what if guy. Coming out of juniors he had the whole tool bag for a power forward; big, fast, strong, gritty and had a heavy shot. He even showed some of that coming into the league but as time went on he became more passive, slower, the shot wasn't the same and definitely wasn't consistent. It may be too late but IF he was 100% committed to his NHL career and could focus on just hockey then he could be a very good 3rd liner still… that "if" Vancouver waited 6+ years on though so I wouldn't bet on it.

  9. Jake was found NOT GUILTY! And people need to accept that unless they have some evidence they didn't go to the police with. If people don't understand this, let me to explain this to them: People in positions of celebrity are HEAVILY WARNED regarding their partying. They are told that if they are careless, chances are they will meet up with a girl, have a drunken night with her, and then find himself charged with sexual assault. It's an old scam, the people who do it think: He was wasted, it's my word against his, to save public face he'll pay me to go away. Well, Jake DID NOT pay her to go away, he fought the change and called what was probably a BLUFF. AND HE WON! Do you think he would have done this if he could possibly have been guilty, he would have done anything to make it go away. Sexual assault is one of the most horrible acts someone can commit. And the only thing worse is those greedy people who take advantage of it for a payday. And what ends up happening is they damage the REALLY victims of this despicable crime by making it harder for them to get real justice. I don't know what happened. All I know is that with Jake's reputation, he was an EASY target for this old school scam. I also know that Jake never has to force himself on anyone to get laid. He's had his pick of the litter, and if anyone turns into a problem, he'll just move on to. someone else. Nobody in his shoes is stupid, despite or evil enough to risk EVERTHING to do one of the worst acts that can be committed. My point. Leave Jake alone, unless you know something the courts do not.

  10. oilers going full scumbag lol

they should sign tom wilson & they would have a full scumbag line 😂

  11. Second-tier big guys typically take around 300 games to find their feet in the NHL. Virtanen is at around 335 NHL games (including playoffs). So one might argue that Jake is at that breakout point in his career.

Personally, I think that it’s more the 3-4 offseasons where they restructure their bodies (and their skating mechanics) to play an NHL game than the 300-ish game appearances. In that light, Jake has had something like 7 offseasons to find his role on the ice, and has yet to get there. To me, that suggests that he is what he is, no new development is likely at this point.

  12. I never actually thought about this until the comments, but it's actually really possible that Travis Green stunted Virtanen's development big time

  13. Not taking anything away from Bertuzzi, but he also played with Datsyuk a lot while he was in the Wings

  14. So with all your saying. To me is if my team gets him i refuse to watch the oilers especially if jesse gets traded to get virtanen id be disgusted difference between kane and virtanin kane gets points its easy to forget when your team is winning i dont see any help wirh virtanen

  15. Get your exactly near 10 min vid with massive repeats of every line? For sure, get all the ads in to extend the video ! Gonna repeat every line you say to get to the 10 min mark?

  16. Virtanen has grit sandpaper oilers have very little sandpaper grit on forward lines need 2 or 3 guys like that not skill and no toughness

  17. i think he is the worst 6th overall pick ever. looking for another player who could play a lucic type role? jake can drop the gloves with anybody and he can skate. those are the only reasons i can come up with. you don't have to be a hockey einstein to do that. and jake fits that profile.

  18. Sports fans love a comeback story. Let him have a try on the Oilers, better on the Oilers than the Canucks. I’m actually pleasantly surprised many on this channel still believe in him.

  19. Nugent Hopkins..lol,a good reason why Edm cannot make the next leap when they over rate VERY average players.A guy like Jesse might just improve more than expected IF he can attain a better center than EDM can provide on lines 3>4.EDM has McDavid and then they have Draisaitl and really not much lese at all.EDM has two realy good players and management needs to do a MUCH better job to give those two more capable players.Zach Hyman…LOL geesh get some real players.I don't follow EDM al lthat closely but from what i have seen they have not given Jesse a fair chance with Draisaitl or McDavid.
