Bring back PK Subban Montréal Canadiens sign it so we can reunite with Montréal Canadiens reunite with Brendan Gallagher Carey Price and the new players
Bring back PK Subban Montréal Canadiens sign coming soon
PK wouldn't likely work in Edmonton.
Kessel at $1M or less would be good as Edmonton needs another RW.
Once Foegelee is traded Edmonton has Macleod to sign. On D Sam can't go down as he's waiver eligible. Broberg is staying up and so is Niems.
Hyman, Macleod, Kessel would be the 3rd line if we sign Kessel
Nuge is 2nd LW.
Phat Kessel
Rip Ben stelter
McLeod is supposed to sign before camp
But money…..
If the Oilers get Kessel, they should give him a lifetime of Hotdogs as a signing bonus.
The Oilers are $6mil OVER the cap, they're not even capable of signing either without dismantling their roster elsewhere
Seriously hurtin for content there eh lego? Still trying to stay relevant in the off season lol
PK is a good public figure. But I think he got traded from Montreal because of locker room issues. He was already losing his touch at the end of his career in Montreal. There were too many show boat moves that made him loose the puck. And a few of those ended in the Montreal net. And i think that rubbed off in Memphis and Jersey. He was great by donating 10 million to a hospital. And to the fans he has great communication skills. He still has some good hockey left. But he needs to be more humble.
Defensively Subban would be an upgrade on Barrie, but thats not saying much
Please no!
Weird to see lots of Kessel ‘hate’ in the comments. I think you could easily put Kessel on the third line like Pittsburgh did and have 3 lines with legitimate scoring threats, something the Oilers haven’t had in decades.
I also think Phil Kessel on the third line, 2nd unit power play, could get you about ~15 goals ~40 assists for ~ 55-60 points. That’s not worth it for ~2m 1-year deal?
As for PK, though I do like him and think he’s great for media/marketing on any team, I just think he isn’t worth it for anything above ~1.5m, no longer than a 2-year deal.
Not a huge Oilers fan, but if I was, I’d be much more interested in Kessel.
Holloway/Nuge/Kessel would be an interesting 3rd line. PK would just be a cheaper version of Barrie.
No to Pk & a solid yes to Phil as long as he comes with a treadmill Jks. He brings speed & experience, so yes, lets win and stick yet another thorn in the Leafs.
Then Leaf fans will whine & whine how we couldn't win without their ex players. Yes that is all they got & that whining comes with no Syanley Cup in Toronto, AGAIN Bahaha So I'll take it !!!
Have a godd day Oiler Nation.
how desperate can you be?
PK would do good on 3 line D, but Kessel is too slow to keep up with McDavid. Kessel would be 4th liner, but I wouldn't want take from other players except Yamato. I think Yam is to small of a player with enough skill to trick others players.
Hurricanes sign Kadri?
PK is a step-up from Keith. Kessel would be good for morale
I lile your top 6 mostly except, id have yamo getting that top 6 spot as well as maybe trying out a rookie like holloway and then have an rnh/kessel 3rd line
First of all, Kirk Leavins is a goof. Secondly, where is the cap space going to come from? I have no doubt that both players wouldn't mind taking a spin with the Oilers, but Edmonton doesn't even have enough cap space to sign McLeoud without trading another player.
They don't want to part with Barrie (which makes Subban redundant). Would I like to have both players on the roster as an Oilers fan? Sure. Do the Oilers have the cap space to do it without moving out other contracts? No.
Edmonton needs to move out Foegle just to make the cap space for the new Puljujarvi and Yamamoto deals work, so I'm at a loss to explain how they could squeeze in Kessel or Subban. Maybe you could move out barrie and foegele and sign subban for less money but is that really an upgrade? I thought Barrie was fantastic in the playoffs personally, and I'd rather have him than Subban at this point.
The Oilers will be making moves before the season starts either way. They have to.
Kessel is nearing the end of his career. The Oilers have young players that have the potential to match and exceed anything Kessel could do now. 5 years ago, I would be interested but now? No thanks. As for PK, his vet presence and his shot would help if he could be convinced to take a min paycheck.
