As much as I rag on Crosby as all people do, the guy is incredible and I feared that man coming into this series. The hit (I will not voice my opinion) was sad and watching the Penns try and rally around him and fail actually seemed sad.

Its kind of weird it feels like the rangers have cost both the penguins and the capitals a lot of pain in the last 10-12 years yet both the penguins and the caps have won the cup in that period and the rangers havent. Rangers cant seem to get it done but they're always there somehow.

Rangers got outplayed this game, but a lucky bounce on the 2nd goal tied the game. It kinda felt like one of those games that the Rangers were simply destined to win.

Said it before and I’ll say it again, one of the best traditions in sports. Love the handshake line. One of the best series I’ve seen, the fight from the rangers, a young team fighting like this is just beautiful. HUGE credit to the pens. Bad luck and a few bad rolls of the dice but they are still formidable. The rangers NEEDED this series as a rebuilding team.
Not a fan of either team but I love Gallant and the way he played for Detroit and he's very Yzerman like in his own right when it comes to knowing the game and how to utilize player's talents.
Keep him and you will see huge results….I know Detroit is looking for a coach and we would love to have him here.
I'm cheering for the Rangers as a Wings fan as we have traded alot of players back and forth like Joey Kocur etc,I'm not going to count Avery 🤣
Now just imagine if the pens had their starter or backup healthy for the series, lol. Find it funny the rangers get that kind of luck and they're going straight into another series with an injured starter.
The handshake is the best. These guys leave it all out there for 7 games while emotions run wild but when it’s all over win or lose it’s nothing but respect for the sport and one another. Nothing matches the sport of hockey or the guys that play it. Best sport on the planet.

I saw this morning the Penguins fuming over the rule when Marcus Pettersson helmet came off after he tangled with Alexis Lafrenière and had to come off the ice. They were saying it was intentionally but it just looked like he was trying to free himself from Pettersson who was pushing him into the back of the net. They certainly weren't fuming though in Game 1 when Kaapo Kakko's goal was disallowed for goalie interference when it showed to me that he was turning left when he was pushed into the goalie thus no GI. They also weren't fuming when another call went their way in which Jake Guentzel's goal was allowed when it appeared that the area the puck touched his stick was above the cross bar. That's just how the series went and it could've gone either way. No matter who won though, they would face a tough opponent in Carolina.
Love or Hate Crosby… the guy is a team leader. First to shake hands and last to leave the ice.

I picked the Rangers in 5 yet, I knew they were gonna win… Now to prepare for the Canes.. A few thing's need to improve though.. Stunning the Canes with speed, grittyness, completing every check yet, staying out of the box is indeed important..L.G.R.!!!!!

A shame that one of these teams had to loose this series. Even as a Penguins fan this series was epic, yes it hurts but gotta appreciate the unpredictability and craziness of this series. Good series

We've been on the other side of this alot of times! This team was just hungry.. I'm sick about blowing a 3-1 lead but we played a whole series with a backup and a #3 in net and overcame a slew of other injuries..it is what it is.. you gotta win with class and lose with it also! The better team won..I'll never take Crosby and Malkin for granted. They gave us 3 cups together… congratulations to NYR and their fans. Yinz deserve this one! Get your cup fellas, ill be pulling for you!
Didn’t think the Pens could hang with 3 key players hurt and a third string goalie but they did. Good luck to the Rangers because the Hurricanes are Healthy

I love my Rangers so damn much. They're ahead of their time making the semifinals this year. I respect Crosby a ton. I hate that we had to face the pens so early because it would have made a great semifinal. Crosby isn't done.
