  1. This isn't happening. Let me get that out of the way. This is never, never, never happening.

But what happens if (when?) the Isles rebound and are in contention for a playoff spot (probably a low 3 seed/WC spot thanks to covid) and they trade for Bergeron?

  2. I can’t see Boston getting Claude Giroux at any point as much as I like him. I can see them getting rid of Debrusk and Ullmark but NO WAY they get rid of the perfection line …Bergeron is way too valuable. Do you see Cassidy being fired if they don’t make the playoffs?

  3. If the season ended today, Sunday Dec.12, Bruins would be in the play offs, Plenty of games left also, dont count them out man,

  4. Sorry Coach D, one more thing, Mike Millbury was on the local Sports talk Radio stations here in Boston, WEEI, Millbury says the Bs should trade Bergy and Marchand! Now we know why hes out of a job and calling in from his living room!

  5. Sweeney should have been fired immediately the following year after he whiffed on all 3 picks. Completely blows as a GM.

  6. Uphill climb? What are you talking about? By points percentage they've been like 7th or better in the conference pretty much all year. They've just played less than everyone else. But I think there pretty much a playoff lock even with all the "uncertainty". And frankly I don't have a problem with them finishing in a Wild Card slot. If that lets them play Toronto in the first round I'm entirely down for that. Sign me up. As far as DeBrusk goes Boston has publicly said what they want for him is a player of similar age with similar upside. They want a guy who's an RFA but somewhat established. So say 23-26. They want a guy with top 6 forward upside, or top 4 dman upside. Doesn't have to be doing it right now. But has to have the upside. And looking at the team. What they need most is a second line center, or a right side d. Personally I think the move that would make the most sense would be trying to package DeBrusk and try and get Hertl. But it seems like they want someone younger. With the younger angle in mind I think Seattle would make a lot of sense for DeBrusk. If they could get Lauzon (who's not have a very good start for them) back a young guy, who's super cheap, who plays both sides and is an excellent shutdown and pk specialist back. I think that'd be a great move. It'd also shave over 2 million in cap for Rask's potential return. And Seattle has an abundance of D still even with having moved a couple of guys. It makes sense for both teams. Someone like Dylan Strome would also make a lot of sense to try and get. The guys has had a couple of very productive seasons in his career. But he's struggling a bit and it looks like he could use a change of scenery. He'd probably be an offensive upgrade over Coyle (who has finish but isn't much of a playmaker). He's also slightly cheaper than DeBrusk but is similar in that their current contracts both expire at the end of the season. So if it does work he's an RFA and you can bring him back under your terms. And if it doesn't work you can walk away without feeling too bad about it. Because you probably would have walked away from DeBrusk anyhow (I can't see qualifying him at 4.1m unless his goal scoring starts exploding and he ends up with over 30).

  7. The bruins have 5 games in hand on most of their division, lots of points to be had to guarantee them
A playoff spot, trade DeBrusk and ullmark for a forward and a dman!!

  8. Bergie has already hinted at following Krejci out the door. Don't think he'll play anywhere without Marchand.

    Longshot moves?-
maybe join Lucic on Flames for kicks and giggles.

Perhaps do the same as Krejci, play locally in Quebec.

His hometown Nordiques are now the Avalanche –
But the Habs certainly could use a hand and sell some tickets.

I think it has to do with his health, how he holds up – does he want to make the commitment next season?

If he does, he'll come in at a discount to save the cap, most likely have "no movement" clause.

I don't see him being traded. Whether he retires and continues to play hockey in other leagues, pump up Canadian hockey programs, is a possibility.

I could see him as a philanthropist – his wife is a psychology major.

  9. Are you out of your mind….with all respect…You dont know the Jacob's if you say spend money in the same sentence as jeremy…
Did you watch the 2021 trades there was over 100 players moving and one out right saying he wants to be in boston Which is half the battle to land them…Jack Eichel made it public WANTS BOSTON and nothing happened.. back to the 105 UFA to be exact with some expensive but affordable players and we end up with a bunch of low price journeymen nosek haula forbort ARE THEY FOR REAL The owners have been screwing us out of cups for years in the 80s and 90s we always had strong core but needed one or 2 players to put us over the top..SORRY WE ARE NOT SPENDING MONEY…so they chase top names and end of career I mean end look back…stevens rick Tocchet etc…hoping for one more great year only happen once recchi…please dont say they will do anything to win if concessions are selling and they make a round its perfect…So this way they dont pay any standouts raises and there happy..oh ya while we were being frugal edmonton pittsburg etc praised us publicly for not giving into these over priced requests… only to be spending millions out the back door creating dynasties….so screw boston management…Would you be happy as a top ten player like bergy and making 6 million which is 3 to 4 under what some teenagers on his team are getting….Bull As for rookies we develop them make anexcuse why we need to trade them which is not giving them there first big payday…I was surprised with charlie but it was so public and would have destroyed playoff hopes I see neeley and sweeney begging Jacob's for him…No ownership has caused us much pain since the 80s Jacob's is the 5th richest owner in NHL and the #1 cheapest….sell to someone from boston who cares about there fans and winning….2011 was won by our development and scouting Department…Not owners…It was a freak accident we such a great team on a cut corner budget….

  10. I'd take Bergeron over the others to build a team around just cause he's that good and he takes less money

  11. Hear me out. Alex Kerfoot for Debrusk.
Kerfoot has speed and some grit, and would pair well with the shooters there.

  12. If your the bruins and in this position they have games on hand basically a playoff 1 and done team. What would u do with debrusk ? He clearly wants out and even his effort isn’t there. What would u do with him ? I know you mentioned some examples in the video but I’m still torn on it with him . Really want him to work

  13. Glad to see and hear someone else who appreciates the kind of player on and off the ice Patrice is. To me he is the most underrated player over the years if not one of.
