    Nylander looked stellar.
    That simmonds fight was short and sweet.
    Anderson looked a little soft, but it's just game one.
    Leafs showed some resilience fighting back in this one.
    Overall fun first game.

    Simmonds throwing bombs, and of course holds off as soon as Chiarot went down. I love that about hockey, good sportsmanship and respect.

    I find Both teams played well for the start of the season. I dont know why people always get so salty. As long as the game is exciting to watch then thats what counts. Your favourite teams cant win every single game.

    hab fans should be happy with the work their gm did they got a good team that suzuki kid looked good and that anderson trade already looking awesome, romanov made 2 really good stretch passes

    Price almost saved that in OT. Glad the leafs could pull it off though. Suddenly Nylanders contract doesn't look so bad eh?

    The way Weber went at Mathews in the crease should have automatically warranted a penalty…It's different if you're aggressively shoving each other, but to put serious weight into a cross-check right into the spinal area causing him to crumple to the ice, just isn't justified IMO… I truly hope Bogosian or Simmonds severely lay into weber next game and make him have to sit in an ice bath for 2 weeks after the game… How you going to try and severely hurt our star player and think you're getting away with it??? Weber created a target on his back and I truly hope our boys take care of it next game or this will continue to happen until one of our star players gets really hurt…

    Glad hockey is back but I'm sick of all the cross checking league wide. Are we playing hockey or lacrosse ? The league needs to crack down on this. There's gonna he a lot of guys needing hip replacements when they get older.

    As a Leafs fan, to be honest, Habs cut through our defends like butter, also bad change and too many breakaways, there is a big room need to be improve.

    First game of the season and already, the 84 million dollar, overrated and overpaid, goalie of Mtl., gives up 5 goals, and they had a 3-1 lead.

    I get why everybody loves the team they root for but whats with all the hate towards the Leafs? Every year its the same crap from people. Everybody feels about their team the way Leafs fans feel about theirs so what's with the hatred? Some people need to grow up, seriously.
