  1. I was 11 & in E. Amherst watching this on an RCA XL100 & this new thing called Cable…I think it was Courier cable.Korab lived across the street, a lot of them lived around there as did the Bills & Braves..they were easily accessible..you could just walk up to their door & gat an auto. things have changed a little.

  2. These Sabres were only one of 2 teams to be the Canadiens with Dryden in the goal in a playoff series, took 2 overtime wins to do it. So they were a real good team, not just at the Flyers level

  3. NHL is not fun anymore without guys like the Gordie Howe's and Rick MacLeish's. 2016 has been a most horrible year with deaths to music and sports icons we grew up with. Rest in Peace Rick and prayers to the MacLeish Family. God Bless You Rick!

  4. It was the second straight time that the Philadelphia Flyers goalie Bernie Parent had a shutout in a Stanley Cup-clinching game.

I'm not certain, but I suspect it was the only time in NHL history that a goalie (or a team) had shutouts in back-to-back Stanley Cup clinching games.

  5. Man, where did those times go. Flyers were great, but after the recent 10 game winning streak, their starting to stink again.

  6. My family had our tv. Set up outside on the front porch to watch this game and the rest of the city block joined to watch in North East Philly. Then the city went bezerk for the 2nd. time, over 2million people celebrated the 2 Cups in each parade. " Great Flyer Memories."

  7. The Flyers announcer said he is surprised the Buffalo fans are booing the Flyers. He was such a homer he didn't even realize they were booing Campbell.

  8. Strangely enough, I didn't see a lot of hard body checks after watching about 10 minutes of this. What I did notice is that the ice seemed very big because the players were smaller and slower than today's players. There wasn't much hitting because the players had more time to play the puck and players didn't "run" their opponent after he had played the puck. I did see a lot of hooking and holding that was allowed in those days, since that was the only way you could stop smaller skill players.

  9. the sabres have a terrible passing game. blasting slap shots from far out wont when you a cup.sounds like the forwards are exausted from playing the canadians

  10. I remember watching this back in the day,French Connection vs. The Broad Street Bullies!!!

  11. I grew up in Trenton, 45 minutes from Philadelphia, and followed the Flyers since 1973. I used to think a team with Bobby Clarke was invincible but was proven wrong in the 1976 Cup finals against the Canadians

  12. Man how good was rick macleish? Every one of these old flyers games I watch has macleish making big plays and scoring timely goals.

  13. old time hockey…Eh!….70's had some great teams….last cup for philly…shall we say we are do!!….Let's Go Flyers!

  14. The image stabilizer thrown on this footage is so awful it’s nauseating to watch

  15. Nice video. One thing that gets me, astounds me, is how all those self proclaimed hockey commentators constantly refer to intimidation' , 'fisticuffs' etc etc. There was very little of that in this series, and this was supposed to be the height of the Broad St Bullies. There were barely two fights in this whole series. Buffalo did not look intimidated, they fought hard and close . It was a well played series, overall.

  16. These announcers just boring. Rick Jeanneret was head and shoulder more entertaining and crisp.
