  1. I mainly remember Teverdosky as that "Pretty Good 80-83 rated Defensemen in Free Agency available at the start of Franchise Mode" from pretty much every NHL Game in the early to mid 2000s.

  2. I liked Selanne a lot…but Sharks Fans definitely did not like giving up Dampousse. He was a Fan Favorite there, before it was Patrick and Joe, it was Patrick and Vinny with a side of Olen Nolan.

  3. I'm hoping you have either done are are working on the Cam Neely to the Boston Bruins trade tree. I find that one fascinating

  4. He had a broken knee since the last season with the anaheim, sj/col era was with a broken knee, got it fixed during the lockout and they got back the old goal scorer.

  5. As a life long Sens fan, this video hurts so bad. Watching all these huge names come from the tree of one trade and knowing it's building to the doom of one of the only 2 shots I've seen in my life time for the Sens to sniff a cup. Yuck b'y.

  6. A big "What Could Have Been" with regards to Selanne that sticks in my Flames fan mind is that in the summer of 1992, since he hadn't signed a rookie contract yet, Teemu Selanne became a restricted free agent as per the rules of the time, and so the Calgary Flames, still stinging from the Doug Gilmour trade a half-season prior, signed him to an offer sheet: 3 years, $400k per year, $32k more than the league average back then and more than twice Winnipeg's offer. Obviously the Jets matched it and Selanne went on to have an incredible season and career; and so some of us are left to wonder how Selanne as a Flame would have panned out…

  7. As maybe a weird musical comparison, Teemu Selanne's NHL career reminds me of that of The Cars: a Hall Of Fame run with a lot of great work done and accomplishments made along the way, but for better and for worse nothing will ever top their debut outing.

  8. The best part of the Ducks 07 cup win was Scott Niedermayer handing the cup to Rob. How many brothers have dreamt of winning the Stanley Cup together?

  9. Can I make a request? Trevor linden traded for Todd Bertuzzi , Bryan McCabe and a 3rd.

If the Canucks had never drafted Trevor linden, none of Canucks history would look the same

  10. First time watching a Trade Tree video – absolutely loved it!! Great job taking us through history and visually explaining the ripple effect that one risky trade can make

  11. having watched to the end I feel this is obligatory for many Ducks fans like myself:
    WE STILL LOVE YOU COREY
really wish we could have had Corey Perry and Ryan Getzlaf as career Ducks but at least it looks like it is turning around now

  12. Hey Steve !! Love your trade trees ! I was waiting for this one for a long time…
I do my own trade trees on my free time and you should do the Dale Hawerchuk to Buffalo trade, it’s gonna be a looooong video !! LOL
Keep up the good work !

  13. My youth was bookended by the (Mighty) Ducks. Watching the Mighty Ducks movies as a small child, learning about the NHL Ducks, not being able to watch their games in my hometown but then catching games on TV during vacations to different parts of SoCal, finding their 2003 playoff games on a random radio station DURING A CARIBBEAN VACATION, and then 2007 happened while I was in high school. Sure, I wish they never rebranded, but I’m glad I got to experience their fairytale ending – even though that was over 15 years ago.

  14. These are great. I look forward to the new ones each year. The longer the trade tree the better.
Any thoughts on doing a Mikael Renberg to Tampa trade?

  15. Jets moved because of weak Canadian dollar and small building. Gary Bettman must be so happy to see them move to someone’s front lawn in Arizona with like 9 people in attendance now.

  16. Love the video! Trade Trees are always fun; just some feedback: the buzzing when the names pop up is significantly louder than you so it drowns you out.

  17. If you need ideas for a trade tree:

December 30, 1997 – Edmonton trades Bonsignore, Bryan Marchment and Steve Kelly to Tampa Bay in exchange for Roman Hamrlík and the rights to Paul Comrie

This is how Vincent Lecavalier ended up in Tampa and how they won their first cup. It's also a pretty big trade tree.

  18. Look into Chris Chelios being traded to Chicago. On the surface it seems small but man does it get big

  19. No doubt that the Winnizonix Coyojets would not have replicated Anaheim's path in acquiring all of those key assets; so much had to go right for Anaheim to pull it all off.

  20. Honestly as a Sabres fan who benefited from Coyotes trade stupidity….

Anaheims trade power from this is bullshit. You aren't supposed to get that much from 1 trade. That's like totally unfair 😂😂😂😂

  21. Not related to this trade tree, but related to Anaheim's 2007 Cup win, the Ducks drafted Ryan Getzlaf as well as Corey Perry in the first round of the stacked 2003 draft. They combined for 1877 points in 2333 games.
