  1. Quinton Byfield is literally Evgeni Malkin 2.0. His size, his speed, his high IQ, 2 way player, unselfish, killer slapshot… I mean I can go on and on about Byfield. LA better not screw this one up. I like Byfield just as much as Laferniere. Also he is almost a whole yr younger than Laf so that adds to more to his time to develop more. LA never really had that consistent scorer that’ll net you 30-40 plus a season and I think Byfield will be that guy in the future and will guys like Turcotte, Kaliyev & Vilardi will lead on. One thing I would consider doing in this draft, call me crazy but if Jaime Drysdale is still available at #5, I would consider offering Ottawa our 2021 First Rounder unprotected, all of our 3 2nd Rounders this year and a prospect like Ahkil Thomas maybe. I know it’s not gonna happen but if LA pulled this off and walked out with Byfield and Drysdale, they’ll be our next Kopitar and Doughty for the 20’s and mid 30’s. LA needs defense. We’re loaded offensively but we need defense cause I know eventually, they’re gonna ship Drew Doughty to Toronto in a few years.

  2. Uppfriskande att se en svensk youtubare prata om NHL på det här viset, fortsätt med det grymma arbetet mannen!

  3. Vilardi is the Kings best prospect, 10pts in his first 7 NHL games.. there is a reason L.A finished strong and Vilardi is the main reason

  4. Dude, Sebs sens have not 4, not 5, not 6 but 7 (seven) picks free in the first two rounds of this draft including 2 in the top 5 and another pick that could be as high as 14 or 15,vand another 3 in the 3rd round. And as many as 13 in total throughout the entire draft. The sens also already have a very deep prospect pool including Morris, Batherson, Formington, Logan Brown, Shane Pinto, Brannstrom, Bernard-Docker, and others along with young stars like Chabot & Tkachuk, as well as Duclair, Conner Brown, Colin White and others. If LA has the better prospect pool now (and they may) I’m not so sure that will still hold when this draft is behind us.

  5. Don’t forget, after next season Kovi’s payout ends giving the Kings $6.25M in more cap space. Then the following year Brown and Carter come off. So Kings are in good shape

  6. The one two punch down the middle will be Byfield and Vilardi. I think Turcotte may need to be moved to wing.

  7. The Kings could package a prospect, with a few picks to move up in this coming draft, and pick maybe get Askrov, Sanderson?

  8. Typically its good team defense that wins championships.
Defensive prospects depth is poor past Bjornfot. Not really high on Clague though. Agree Doughty deal is gonna age terribly.
Goaltending is suspect. Petersen wasn't great in the AHL, unlikely he will magically get better in the NHL. Nor would I consider him a prospect at this point. If there are actual prospects with potential they could have been mentioned in the video.
So…. disagree that they have the best prospect pool. They have some great forward prospects though. But as Edmonton has shown, building a team with only star forwards doesn't get you very far.

  9. You forgot about the left shot d-man Hults from Penn State. Voted best defenseman in the Big Ten and MVP overall in the big ten.

  10. Thanks for this from the Kings fans. Looks like you made your vid from older facts. Kings best center prospect and best prospect overall is Gabriel Vilardi.

  11. LAK does look to be scary good and debatable if their Farm is better than the equally stacked NYR. Exciting future for kings fans.

  12. The Kings are SO center heavy, and Byfield is a ridiculous stud, BUT we SERIOUSLY need a winger who can draw defenses so guys like Kempe, Wagner, Kaliyev, etc can score some goals. We're a boring team because we're predictable. Literally nobody on our team has the full skill set of Tim Stutzle. Kempe has had 2 years and still looks like a 3rd liner at best and he is about the closest we have to a Stutzle, and he's not close. 99 times out of 100 we take Byfield. I believe this is the one time we don't and take Stutzle. Been a Kings fan since 1980, doesn't make me a hockey expert, but I do know my team. That is the need I want to see filled.
There's also an outlandish thing I believe Blake should try: Ottawa is not going to be good for a few years. They're like us but I think much further away from finishing a rebuild than us. We are loaded in both picks and prospects. Ottawa has #3 & #5. It would cost a buttload of assets, but we (for once) actually have them. Keep #2 and pick Stutzle, then call Ottawa and make a deal for the #3 pick and get Byfield for that buttload of assets. Ottawa might do it. They could get 3 really good pieces from one pick. Might even move their rebuild up a year. I just think about Stutzle AND Byfield on the same line…..add Kaliyev on the PP…..man.

  13. Ottawa has a better prospect pool. Picks 3 and 5 and the Isles first pick this year plus 4 picks in round 2 and 2 in round 3. Chabot
on D plus 3 other first round D in Brannstrom,Lassi Thomson, and Jacob Bernard Docker. Logan Brown and Josh Norris at center. Formenton,Batherson,Abramov, just to name a few at wing. Shane Pinto another top center in college.

  14. Gabe Vilardi scored on this first shift, first shot – and I was there. He'll be good.

  15. What rankings are you following? Stutzle has been the consensus 2 or 3 pick for months, and you say some have him ranked down around 8th. Are these YouTube kids ranking the draft?

  16. Best prospect pool in the league? Are you on drugs? Look at the Sens if you wanna see the best prospect pool in the league, especially after this draft.

  17. great insights – as has been said there are defense prospects like Andersen and Clague who look to be solid – Akil Thomas was good in OHL – but he only scored one goal in WJC – teams need a dozen prospects to get half a dozen solid NHL players

  18. They look good but I think they could use some help on D. I would of been happy with Drysdale this year but you can’t take him at #2. I think they will be aggressive with picks and young players to improve the NHL club.

  19. And a few of the current roster. Wagner finally started to find the back of the net with all that speed on allllllll those breakaways lol. JAD has some great potential. And yeah Vilardi is the sleeper that everyone needs to pay attention to. Shouldn't even be a sleeper really. He was a projected top 5 pick and getting him at 11 was a steal. Plus a guy who works that hard to come back against a career threatening injury is a guy with character in abundance. Character is the first word you consistently hear Blake, Yanetti &co, mention when talking about prospective players. Oh and just for good mention ( even though he's a bit older) Martin Frk. Great story great personality and he scares the s**t out of goalies and prospective shot blockers with that 109 Mile an hour death ray lol. 6 months before he broke Chara's record Jonathan Quick said Frk's shot was hands down the hardest he'd ever faced. Frk just signed a two year deal and he and Vilardi did well together both in the AHL and on the Kings. Hopefully he carves himself a place in the next few years as well…

  20. In THE NBA 6 4 is 5 10 haven't heard 6 4 is huge i na while atching too much NBA LMAO.

  21. Fagemo, Vilardi, Kaliyev and Byfield (assuming they don't do something stupid on draft day) I think are going to be the standouts of their ridiculous depth. I actually think they're likely to flip some of their center depth (I expect Akil Thomas and Rasmus Kupari to be the likely trade bait) for some defensive help, but I even like what they've got now at D. Clague and Spence aren't top-pairing worthy, but have top 4 potential. They need a top-tier goalie and 1st pairing left side defenseman to really make their crop of prospects more well-rounded, but as a Kings fan, I haven't been this excited about the future since the days of Wheat Kings Brayden Schenn.

  22. I am so thankful to be a Kings fan since before the Gretzky era. I've been through the ups and downs, but the future is off the charts!! I think Blakey is executing his plan brilliantly. GKG!!

  23. Kings will be bright when some of the younger center prospects can move to wing. The Kings are desperate for scoring on the wings. It's one of the reasons scoring is so low.

  24. I just can't fathom how good Kaliyev will look with either Turcotte, Byfield or Vilardi passing over to him for a one timer for the next decade or so.
