These guys are just dumb. The Canes have made the playoffs the last 3 years. The first year the Canes made the final 4. I think the leaf would take 1 out 3 years making it to final. 4.
The analysis of the Nedeljkovic situation misses the fact that Ned was going to go to arbitration. It was likely that he would have gotten $5 million rather than 3. That changes the economics of the goalies dramatically.
I thought they by far had the worst off-season. I think the KK thing was funny and that’s coming from Montreal fan but they lost so much and gained so little to replace it.

Why do people keep saying "Oh, they let Hamilton go…" like it's a bad thing and he's not making almost 10m a season? I'd have loved to keep him as well, but you sign that contract, and it makes 98% of the other moves we made this offseason impossible.

Pros of the Canes:
Very good forward depth
Very flexible line combos
D corps still looks solid despite questionable slots like Bear and DeAngelo
Cons of the Canes:
Shaky goaltending situation
Lack of development in Svechnikov, Necas, and Bear could spell doom
Final Placement? Running perfectly 3rd-4th in the East. Average running 5-6th. Worst case scenario 8th-10th.
I say Carolina misses playoffs. I do not like their offense, I think its very overrated. 5th best team in the metro
