  1. Every team that's included shannon in promotional material in the playoffs has made the Stanley cup finals… conspiracy??? 🤔

  2. Shannon, what do you think of Czech players in general (Pastrnak, Hertl, Jagr, Voracek,Gudas, Faksa) ?

  3. Carter does not have a nmc in his contract therefore the kings control what happens to carter

  4. The Kings organization wasted that tail end of Anze’s career by making Brown the center of the org.

  5. Were you waiting for my comment? 😆
Kopi’s value goes far, FAR beyond the cap hit. As does Brown and Dewey. And if you say ten million is too much to pay for loyalty, look at Carey Price in Montreal.

  6. Don't let these CBJ comments distract from the fact that this turned into a cat grooming video

  7. I’m watching Shannon! Congrats man. I seen the Vegas one. Pretty darn cool man. One guy making content on YouTube getting his voice in two NHL arenas. Hats off to you my good sir. Keep it up.

  8. As a Kings fan I’m oddly content with us being terrible for quite a bit. The cup runs were fun, I’m a big fan of all these players, the only thing that concerns me is management decisions.

  9. Why L.A. didn’t make the playoffs?
    1. Jake Muzzin trade
    2. That 70’s line failed to produce
    3. Blue line inexperience
    4. Too many missed open nets.
    5. Horrible grey thirds!
    6. Adrian Kempe has not stepped up.
    7. Two Goalies couldn’t stay healthy
    8. Quick didn’t play very well
    9. Kopitar & Brown top scorers on team
    10. Lack of depth & young talent

    Bonus: Wayne Gretzky retired…

  10. Ilya Kovalchuk was the Kings' top scorer before Willie was hired. He was almost PPG. Willie comes in, all of sudden his icetime begins to shrink. Willie literally came out and said he was gonna use Kovy as a fourth liner and "make him play to his weaknesses".

  11. The rosters too old it’s like the Lucic effect in Edmonton. Too many slow guys not enough youth or young talent. Doughty still young but getting older Kopitar same thing Brown Carter even down to Quick. Lot of these guys still got value but for how much longer best thing for the kings to do is start injecting more young guys keep Doughty and Kopitar and trade guys you have to to get back some young talent

  12. I could see Columbus taking a jump at trading for Quick if they don't get Bobrovsky to resign. Calgary too if they move on from Smith.

  13. Kings need to tank at least 3 more seasons to get a better chance of getting Alexis Lafreniere or Alexander Holtz next year's draft or in 2021 Shane Wright. Dropping down to 5th is very disappointing but can still get Turcotte, Byram, Cozens and Podkolzin. Or can package this year's Toronto pickup on Muzzin's Trade + a veteran player to move up this year's draft board. They can also dangle the same 28th pickup + dump Phaneuf and his small % of his salary to shed payroll. Let's get real, teams have been trending on speed and Kings are a few of the dinosaurs left from the "Heavy Game" Era.

  14. The Kovalchuk deal was just insanely stupid. The front office must have been high. Signing a 35-year-old, who's past his prime, to a deal that makes him the second highest paid on the team. Ugh. And all he does is produce 16 goals and 34 points in 64 games. He really helped their scoring.

  15. Dont think LA makes the playoffs next year. I think they need to utilize more of their younger prospects like this past season. Most of their goals during the last couple if games came from their rookies while vets mostly stayed off the board.

  16. Please don't ever start using those fancy splashes intros and outro animations like you mentioned, one of my favorite things about you is when I click on a video I don't have to skip through a pointless intro.

  17. Kings looked completely unprepared at the beginning of the season. First 10 games they started with a 2-7-1 record. I get that they have an older roster, but being unprepared at the beginning of the season and getting absolutely outplayed is really bad

  18. The kings should trade carter kovelchuck dion quick Clifford. The kings should get panarin and a couple of draft picks. This is so bad but I hope the kings do this

  19. Shannon you missed quite a few things and some of your info was flat out inaccurate especially when it came to Jeff Carter. Jeff Carter emphatically denied the retirement rumor which by the way had no reliable source whatsoever, it was a pondering of options by some members of the media that he could consider which somehow morphed into him making that threat if he was traded. This brings us to the second inaccuracy of Jeff Carter, he DOES NOT have an NMC.

The other big things you missed in why the Kings whiffed so bad last season was the disappearance of Tanner Pearson during the beginning of the season. He had 1 point, an assist in the first 17 games of the season which resulted in him being shipped out of town. The injury to Jonny Brodzinski who had a great camp and was injured in the preseason. You mentioned Dustin Brown being injured, and of course Jonathan Quick’s injury, all of these things happened in the first 2 months. With all those unfortunate events occurring at the outset, it was a deep hole to climb out of.

The team should rebuild around Kopitar, Doughty, and Brown. Hopefully the prospects continue developing and the Kings end up with more hits than misses in the draft.

  20. All good things come to an end at some point. Wonderful marriages, empires ruled by leaders, and Stanley cup champs twice in 3 years 😀🏆. L.A. Ownership made a big mistake by firing Dean Lombardi too soon. And we have been cursed since the domestic abuse with Slava Voynov & Jarret Stoll busted for cocaine in Las Vegas, & Mike Richards just running out of gas. Retirement of Mike Green, these things made the mini dynasty start to crumble. We haven't been able to recover since and our issues such as team speed and age became expised, plus various key injuries. At least we still have an awesome scouting department & with patience things will turn around . Rob Blake & Luc Robitalle need to step their game up a little. George McPhee is whooping ass on the rest of the division except for San Jose & Calgary kinda sorta.
