  1. Girls it's was definitely time to get younger you may have one 37 year old but nobody has 2. Thanks for the emergency pod.

  2. You don’t want to buyout these two contracts as a Gm. I’m sure he talked to every team to explore a trade but with their NMC’s and cap hit that was likely very difficult. At the end of the day Guerin needed the extra money now and this was the only way. Anxiously awaiting his “plan” because this roster, as it stands now, is not a cup contender.

  3. Its not ZP or RS fault that the parts and pieces fletcher put around them never panned out to be the superstars we needed to win a cup. RS and ZP always gave their all and for that I tip my hat. The contracts then were the right moves and the buyout now is probably the right move.

  4. I think one big thing with this is that the Wild cap situation for the future is clear and they can plan for it. There's no longer the question of "will they play out the contract or retire near the end" or "will they qualify for LTIR". The cap hit is going to hurt but now it's a known quantity.

  5. I think a lot of it has to do with the culture they're trying to build, and it's clear that ZP and RS were not part of that.
