Random Toronto thoughts from a Tampa fan: To saddle players who weren’t born yet with franchise futility has never made sense. Key Leaf’s are just starting to shave and their playoff performance will improve dramatically as they mature. Sympathy to any Leaf fan who had tickets last night and was denied entry. God forbid an adult makes their own decision in a democracy. What a shame; a playoff intensity game in Feb that deserved playoff crowd noise.

Good game but this game was decided by Canadian/Original 6 officiating. Canes outplay the Leafs in the first. Refs call everything on the Canes (first two were good calls, the third was weak at best) The refs let everything go for the Leafs. Hold Staals jersy right in fron t of the net and ref not allowing him to get to the loose puck. Two hand grab on Svech, no call. Svech pulled down at center no call. and much much more!!!!! RBA did a good job deflecting the post game questions about the officials. But you can tell he was pissed about it. That weak third call had a direct impact on this game!

Holli cow, The Hurricanes this year are a dirty friggin' team, I've never witnessed so many damn dives, slashes, trips, cross checks, hookings, holdings, interferences, pretty much every single penalty in the book you can think of, they were doing it.. And then when there dives would go un-noticed they would start to scream at the Refs 🤣. but it's no surprise with Brind'Amor as the head coach lmao.
