  1. So it's the Lightning who'll have the honor of eliminating the Leafs in the first round this year.

  2. Offense? Toronto – slight edge. Defense? Tampa Bay by a mile. Goaltending? Tampa Bay by a similar margin. Coaching? Advantage TB. Toronto has to beat Vasilevsky four of seven. I'm not seeing it.

  3. Imma make a prediction for the winner of the Leafs Bolts series the winner is gonna have all of the following :
    Wears blue and white
Has a captain who wears number 91
Has a 1st overall pick who has scored 60 goals
    Has 2 number 1 centres
Has a defenceman with 60+ points
Has a player with foot in there name
Had something controversial happen in the playoffs between 1993 and 2004
Has a top 2 pick in the 2009 draft
The last series they lost in was very embarrassing

  4. Vasilevskiy's playoff history speaks for itself. In the Lightning's two Cup runs, he had a 1.90 GAA in both years, a .927 save percentage in 2020 and a .937 save percentage in 2021. The 2021 Conn Smythe winner recorded a shutout in all four series-clinching wins last year. He's the guy you want in the crease in a Game 7. As for the netminder he will be facing:

  5. Both teams can play great offense. The playoffs are mostly about defense and tight checking. Expect Leafs to have no answer to Tampa's strong physical defensive play, the kind of play that has won them two Cups. Leafs are not a team built to win in the playoffs. Tampa, obviously, is.

  6. Never has a sports team (Leafs) in any sports league, received so much positive media for 55 years of failure. Yes, this Toronto team is very talented & driven. Again, the media adoration of this team & individuals is a negative, not a positive. If Toronto gets swept in 4, based on last year’s interviews nothing of substance will occur. Maybe wonder-boy Dubas gets fired.

By the media, One who does not follow the NHL you’d never guess that 1 of the 2 teams was going for 3 Stanley Cups in a row, & the 4th Cup in 29 years of franchise existence. One would gather this series is ice tilted towards Toronto. Such disrespect for the hugely successful
    Tampa bay Lightning franchise.

  7. I don't think fans of either team are taking anything for granted in this series. Hard to imagine it not going seven. Hope the refs don't make a mess of things.

  8. Thanks for making this video. I was actually trying to find out the results of the season series!!

  9. It's very poetic & fitting that the Leafs will have to face a team wearing blue & white this year in the playoffs. After all, for the entire "Big 4" era they've always been their own biggest enemies.

  10. I’m not sure man. Tampa is trying to become a dynasty by winning 3 cups. That’s a lot of pressure on them. Id say Tampa has the most pressure. Toronto is trying to get past the first round for the 5th year in a row. They’ll be motivated after last years loss to the Canadiens. It’ll be a tight series but I’m hoping this is the year Toronto breaks through.

  11. This is going to be a really exciting game, probably because both of the teams preformed extremely well in the season.

  12. same answer as before, Leafs. no matter what this will be a good series with some crazy skills and gonna get physical/intense but in the end leafs will take the W and both teams would have played a good series.

  13. Can the Leafs win the series against the back to back stanley cup champions? Is going to be hard. The Leafs never won back to back games against Tampa in this series. If this game end up going to game seven the advantage goes to Tampa because they have experience and Leafs never pass the first round.
