  1. Great vid. Think you're right, I think the Kings will be pretty quiet this offseason. In terms of free agency, it seems their goal is to target a LHD on a short deal to solidify the left side of the defense a little bit while prospects develop. Maybe a guy like Brendon Dillon, Joel Edmundson, etc on a 2-3 year deal.. A guy who can play with Doughty if needed, or slot more into the bottom pairing if a prospect like Bjornfot proves he's ready to play with Doughty. Other than that, can't really see them doing much in free agency. As far as trades go, I'd say they'll be pretty quiet too.. I'd guess they maybe take on a cap dump from a cap-desperate team but that's about it. Youth movement is going to be exciting. There's a handful of players that could surprise and make the team out of camp. Vilardi will be a full-time NHLer as long as he doesn't run into any more health issues. Mikey Anderson, Kale Clague, and Toby Bjornfot will likely split time between AHL/NHL next year and likely rotate in and out, each getting around 40 games (although it's possible 1 or 2 of them surprise and earn full time roles). Turcotte could make the team, but I see him starting the year in the AHL, same could be said for Stutzle (if they pick him). Think Byfield (if they pick him) will get another year in the OHL. Kaliyev could surprise and make the team, or maybe just get a 9 game tryout. Fagemo might be the most NHL ready, but could also use some time in the AHL. Kupari seems to have recovered from that knee injury but I think he starts in the AHL as well. Going to be a lot of really good young players joining the Kings both next year and the following year. I think they'll improve a bit in the 2020/21 season, with a slight chance of competing for a wild card spot if things go VERY well, but see them more likely returning to playoff contention the following year ing the 2021/22 season. Should be really fun to watch this team evolve over the next couple years though, especially since they still have veterans with championship experience with Kopitar, Doughty, Carter, Brown, and Quick… Anyways thank you for coming to my ted talk

  2. Overall, the Kings aren't in bad shape-goaltending IMHO is their biggest issue-Quick is past his prime and very injury-prone–the prospect pool is deep and they have the #2 pick in the first round of this year's draft plus several other picks-Kings will be playoff competitive in the next few seasons.

  3. Just watched your interview with Justin on his Channel-great interview–good to get some background on the Channel i support wholeheartedly-keep up the great work-I,and others, appreciate all you do for the hockey fan community.

  4. I keep playing rock paper scissors with Lafreniere ( in case New York does the unthinkable) , Byfield & Stutzle and no matter who I have a big grin on my face lol. Go Kings Go! (Draft Kings Draft!)

  5. I like stutzle and I wish the kings would trade doughty for more future pieces to really put us in a great position anyways good video bud gkg 👍

  6. Amazing to see the transformation of the Kings. So used to seeing a slow, plodding, older group of grinders, now they have youth, skill, and speed. Kudos to Rob Blake and his scouting dept. Think your analysis is pretty much bang on (what else is new… lol). Team has a bright future, and think they will make meaningful progress next season.

  7. Hope they go with Stutzle, but a normal LA Kings move would be to go with byfield. Heres to hoping they do something different this time.

  8. Stützle. Guy is an absolute gem, perhaps underrated because he plays in the DEL, skating is next level, connections with Germany are strong (Marco Sturm), wing of the future for Vilardi, Turcotte
