  1. If you want to see my bracket before and after listening to your videos send me your email. Wild fan who got shook after game 1. Like you said stats don't lie. I think Wild fans know well about Fleury after our series last year lol

  2. I been telling our Blues friends that Wild is a beast at even strength. How else do you think they scored all these goals with one of the worst pp%? Well 5 on 5. The blues might be deeper up front , but the Wild roll all lines and play as a team

  3. It sucks the Blues keep losing their D-men. I'd rather the Wild beat them with their full team intact. At the same time, the Wild have limped into the playoffs with several key players out from injury in a handful of first round series prior to this and at no point did fans of other teams allow it to be used as an excuse. It sucks, but it's unfortunately the way it goes. The Blues will looked pretty broken through most of that game last night. I think they'll come out flying tomorrow night. The Wild will either have to weather the storm or score a few early and break the Blues will again. If that happens, pretty sure STL is cooked. Who knows, maybe they get a boost getting one of Krug, Bortuzzo or Leddy back. Rumor has it Leddy has a concussion and I'm guessing that's what happened to Bortuzzo as well. Krug just took himself out of the game with that attempted hit on Boldy. Guess I'm happy it's been a fairly clean series (not sure WTF Spurgeon was thinking in game 1. As a Wild fan, that was infuriating.). I could do without Schenn and Mikkola running around a bit out there, but thankfully nothing has gotten out of hand. I could easily see Schenn gooning it up if the Wild are up by a few by the end of the next game though.

    Go Wild!

  4. O'Reilly and Ek are my man crushes, I absolutely love how they play. So I have to ask, do you think the gap between them is smaller now than you did previously? In your series break down you had O'Reilly ranked as a top 10 center but I think you had Ek outside the top 50.

  5. Wild players skating away from the extras after the whistle , exactly what they need to do. Now they need to pound the St. Louis defenseman – dump, chase, and hit, cleanly. If they can hang around and continue to punish, it’s a matter of time before the pucks start hitting the twine.
Lastly, I’m waiting for Fiala to start, if that happens – he is capable of winning a game single-handedly, fingers crossed he gets going as the Wild will need production from him going forward.

  6. Wild need to start Talbot. Fleury has been competent for the last two moves, but speaking generally he plays like a clown. Lucky to win.
    His two signature moves are
being much to far out of crease, giving opponents an empty net to shoot at

    And

Batting the puck back to shooter so he can try again instead of holding the puck

How he ever manages to be on winning side of games is a mystery

  7. Hi Hot Garbage! Would love to see a video on how the Wild get killed in Game 1 and then own Game 3. Not so much this example but the phenomena in general

  8. Good takes. Quick question as I look ahead to a potential wild vs Avs matchup. I remember watching Kuemper for a few years and he was solid until you got 1 by him. Has he gotten better or do the Avs scoring carry him? I feel like if MN needs to find an edge to feel good about, that could be it.

  9. @HotGarbageSports In your metrics recap you hated the Wild. Weak up the middle and weak on the blueline (Brodin is not a numbers guy). What happened so far buddy?

  10. Cant win hockey games playing only 5 dmen most of the game, especially a playoff game, and when they have hardly any playoff experience. Its unfortunate but kudos to the wild for abusing the advantage. I expect binner to start game 3 (havent looked at lineups yet) and blues to abandon the aggression and put up 40+ shots because they will be throwing everything at the net.

  11. Hey I’m loving all of your breakdowns. As a Wild fan I obviously didn’t agree with the C rank you gave them, but winning is what matters and we are owning the blues this series. Looking forward to beating them in 5 or 6 games
