    Clearly a win for the Bruins in a way they needed. You can't question Krejci's loyalty, signing for 1.5M on top of this. They still need to find a way to unload a Forbort, or a Reilly to afford to sign Zacha, but if they manage that, they should be at least able to make a run, provided the start of the season isn't as rough as it looks like it could be. My only concern is going to be the 4M of dead cap from the performance bonuses next season. They will still have bloated contracts like Coyle's to deal with, plus the Pasta extension, and Swayman is going to want to get paid, especially if he takes another leap forward. It really is looking like this is the last year before a rebuild, unless Lysell is somehow Pasta v2.

    Bergeron deserves ALL the credit for this contract. Sweeney deserves a slap across the face for being stupid, and losing his job for poor performance.

    Great to have Bergeron and Krejci back for one more year. Granted with injuries the beginning of the season is still going to be rough but having these 2 back will help. Not only on ice but off ice as well.
    Is it my imagination or is it funny that now that Cassidy is gone Krejci comes back, players take back their trade requests and Bergeron decides to give it 1 more year?
