It's hard to get that upset about the loss. The Leafs played hard but ultimately the better team won in the end.

Players looked gassed in OT while Florida was still flying. It's only 3-on-3 OT, it doesn't mean anything, and yet seeing our players not skating anymore was a bit worrisome of the schedule and/or conditioning. Oh well, they played a lot better than 2 nights ago at least, so it's optimistic. Would have loved to see the team win though, as they did play well enough to win it I think.
Best team in the league and we were still the better team.

I think the leafs played a good game. Could've easily been up 3 or 4 nothing after the first but Bob kept them in it. OT is a complete crapshoot, anything can happen. The most important thing is Matthews looked good and so did Campbell. If we can stay healthy going into the playoffs I really like our chances no matter who we play.
John Tavares should be forced to answer questions after every loss, hope they can trade him in the offseason. Beg him to waive his NMC.
Why the heck Keefe keeps putting TAVARES on in OT is baffling ….. Mikeyev and Engvall with all that speed sitting on the bench could skate circles with all that open ice…… He has to STOP going with things that don't work. TAVARES could have put this game away in the 1st and 3rd and failed yet again to deliver. A disappointment for me all season.

The NHL salary cap was supposed to create parity, but it has instead created parody. At 4:28 Keefe says, "…start playing for real", referencing the playoffs. This team is playing imitation hockey, definitely falling short of the real thing – "parody" by definition. Understandable? Maybe. It's a failure of the league schedule and how the playoff brackets are decided. I don't know the answer but I know that, as a fan, it sucks to know your team is playing parody hockey, in a holding pattern, waiting for "real" hockey to start. Do other leagues have this problem?
Holl was garbage again. The only time the other team seems to keep the Leafs in their zone is when Holl is out there.

Keefe needs to out coach the other this year, I think it’s been the strategy’s that has been the downfall of the leafs the last 4 years.

Panthers are guaranteed first in the division, Leafs guaranteed 2nd or 3rd, Tampa can finish 2nd, 3rd, or 4th, and the Bruins only 3rd or 4th.
For interest's sake, here are the team's point totals as they are vs how they would be without the 3 on 3 and shootout. The second total can be compared to teams of old when games ended in ties.

Florida is an very Skilled team, just like Tampa Bay is, super tough to play and they sure play an fast pace like Stammers team does, very well coached, they deserve some respect.
