  1. Golden Knights have taken the dirty laundry twice from the Sabres: first Lehner (albeit indirectly) then Jack.

  2. Sabres have been great since March. The locker room changed this year when Eichel left. Guys care about each other and want to win. It wasn’t like that when Jack was captain. Tuch and Krebs, along with a 1st, so far Buffalo has won the trade.

  3. Sabres are 100% better with new players and dumping Reinhart, Eichel and Ristolanen.

  4. I'm a Sabres fan. It's honestly looks like since Jack has gone that the whole team is just happier. I was a fan of Eichel but it honestly seems like they are better without him. maybe he was a locker room cancer and all the stories are right

  5. Buffalo will be a mega force to contend with in the near future. We are gigantic and fast. Oh and if that Levi kid pans out watch out. Next year we will push for 85-90 points and 2024 is the return to the playoffs. Tuch also has 38 pts in 48 games total. I bet you if Vegas had to do it again they wouldn't.

  6. Jack Eichel who has never been to the playoffs, gets traded to a team that has made the playoffs every year, and then he turns THAT team into a mess lol. What a clown

  7. I'm happy eichel is gone. He was a brat. We never wanted him anyways. We tanked for McDavid not eichel.

  8. I honestly think the Sabres got the better end of this deal. Vegas on its way down and Sabres on its way up. It would be hilarious if the Sabres win a cup before Vegas does.

  9. I know this has nothing to do with Jack's trade, but Tage Thompson scored his 37th goal of the season. That is more than Jack ever put up in a season!

  10. Sabres fan here. I pretty much echo all the other Sabres fan’s comments here. I like the direction the team is going, we are way better off with Tuch running the show over Eichel, the coaching improved tenfold with Granato and company, and there are a lot of great things to look forward to. That said, we’re still missing a few essential pieces to be a playoff contender, mainly goaltending. Overall though, positive vibes for the first time in nearly a decade though.

  11. I went to my first Sabres game in 3 years (and before that I had been going to Sabres games consistently since 2011.) yesterday against the Islanders. I have to say, that was the best game I have been too in many years. Not just to performance, but the fact that they played hard and hungry. The best part was the crowd. I have never seen a crowd that in to a game in Buffalo in 10 years. We were loud, we were doing the wave. There was a point where Chara made a dirty play against Skinner and for the rest of the game when he had the puck he was booed. There was a fight and we went crazy, we booed the islanders players when they were going into the box and cheered when our guys came out of it. Energy like that has been missing for the Sabres for a while. It seems like the city is buying back into the Sabres and we believe they are doing it right. It’s been a long 11 years, but to see them re-emerge as Buffalos team is special

  12. Sabres have young draft picks starting to mature into solid big league players. Thompson has broken out and Skinner seems back to form. Tuch is captain material. Eichel wasnt. This team is more talented than people think they are. Theyre not bad; just young

  13. Let me just point out the most goals Jack ever scored for Buffalo was 36, Tage Thompson (who essentially filled his position) has 37 with 2 games to go, so we don't miss his goals. Then with that said add Tuch and Mr. Krebs plus a 1st this year and a 2nd that in my estimation will be a higher pick then Buffalo's normal pick 😉 ( imo Vegas is going to bomb next year, they don't make wise decisions and it's catching up too many gambles)

it's night and day, I love this team now, when they get beat you know they are going to try harder in the next one. LET'S GO BUFFALO!!!

  14. I look at Buffalo now and I am happy for their fans about their teams future. Tage Thompson, Tuch, Krebs, Dahlin and now Power. That’s a great young core to build around. Maybe Cousins will be good too. All you need is a young goalie. Also I feel there are likely many good prospects in your system I’m not even aware of yet. Your future is bright without Eichel Sabres fans. I do believe he’s a cancer in the locker room.

  15. I have been a Sabres fan since the late 70's and honestly was really hyped to get Jack Eichel and was crushed when he was traded. However, with each game that has been played since the trade my feelings have begun to change. Krebs and Tuch have been fantastic with, not just the way they have been playing, but also with the locker room and the team in general. The team seems to be an actual team now and the vibe that I have picked up is that the players on the team want and enjoy playing for the team which is something that hasn't been seen in Buffalo for a really long time! It's very exhilarating to be able to watch the team play and know that the players are going to go out on the ice and give it their all basically every game and Buffalo has been beating teams that even last year Buffalo wouldn't have had a chance to beat! They have won 4 games in a row for the first time in I don't know how long and they actually seem to be on the right path finally, wow. I don't know if the Sabres will make the playoffs next year but what I do know is that I am going to be able to watch them play and have a good chance, night in and night out, of winning more games than they lose and that is something that I didn't ever expect to happen after trading Eichel and that is honestly just cool. I don't know what Eichel brings to the locker room but it seems that, for whatever reason, it wasn't that good and right now I am honestly happy that he is no longer with the team because this team, although not a playoff caliber team right now, will be within the next year or two and that is all that a Buffalo Sabres fan could have hoped for since this crappy playoff drought started oh so many years ago. Go Sabres!

  16. Jack can’t talk to muck now at locker clean up time, with not much points and help, his team should like that

  17. I’m hopeful for Buffalo making the playoffs next year but who of that top 8 will fall out to make that happen?

  18. An April slump but Tuch still has 38 pts in 48 games. And 22 pts in his first 22 games. Add leadership and even if it was a 1for1, Buffalo wins. Krebs, the 1st rounder & 2nd rounder, those are all bonus. Jack will put up more points next year but he is and always will be a shitty person and an anchor in the room.

  19. Did anyone see the video of Eichel rolling his eyes when the team went over to the Vegas goalie after the shootout loss? That's Jack Eichel in a nutshell

  20. Krebs and Tuch may be good but Vegas is a team that really needed centre depth which should be kept in mind when comparing Eichel to these two wingers.

  21. I would love to see the sabers make the playoffs next year and the knights be out! I’m not a fan of either but damn that would be hilarious!

  22. Go survey a million hockey fans. I would guess about 2%-3% would say Vegas won the trade with Buffalo.

  23. Glad eichel is out of buffalo!good hockey player but only cares for himself not a team player and definitely not a leader!good luck with him vegas!
