  1. Have not yet watched the full video yet. But I have one thing to say. I completely understand both sides of this controversy. I have an Uncle that moved from the Chicagoland area many years ago. Moving to Albuquerque, NM. Met his now wife, who just happens to be American Indian. My Aunt has a son from a previous marriage, who is also 100% American Indian. I was taught in both grade school and high school. What we as Americans did to the American Indian. I have complete respect and honor for them. That is why I am so very proud to be a BlackHawks fan. Be cause of the honoring of Chief Black Hawk. And would find it upsetting if the Blackhawks organization would cave in to change the team I have loved since the days of Stan Makita, Bobby Hull, Tony Esposito, Keith Magnuson, and so many others. What a disservice it would be to not only the current team. But the teams of our past and future. To change the team name. Thank you for your time and consideration in this matter. And since IDC. Sincerely, Ken Vojtech.

  2. team is trash now but i’ll always be there. if you get rid of the name you are nothing

  3. Nice video. I always said the Blackhawks logo honored the Indians. The Indians I have met are proud Americans. Many proudly served in the Armed Forces. It's good to see the team building a relationship with American Indians.

  4. We support the initiative and appreciate the vocalization from your position of influence. The recognition is very valuable, and the scholarships will result in generational impact. Great work, Chicago Blackhawks !!

  5. Where's the alter of shame so I can bow down and denounce my evil whiteness. Because let's face it, this is what's all about right? I'm sure these initiatives will right the wrongs of the past, but most importantly make all the liberal elites feel virtuous while sipping their designer coffee.

  6. Typical lefty self congratulatory garbage. Made solely for other lefties to sit around and pat themselves on the back while absolutely nothing changes. Just like the black community they pander to for the last NINETY years of liberal rule. Has that going for ya?

  7. It’s very clear that unlike other sports organizations the History and heritage of the theming of this team isn’t a gross parody but a celebration of culture and heritage.

  8. YES. PLEASE don't change that logo. I take great pride in having his face on our Sweater ! Would be sweet to see a Portrait of Chief Blackhawk on a new Sweater !! Instead of the usual profile logo. Get one head on and more realistic. Would be a sweet take on the old logo and could be used as an alternate.

  9. The logo should stay and this is why. The Blackhawks are doing so much good for indigenous peoples and their heritage should be celebrated on our sweater. Changing the logo is the easy option and allows the Blackhawks to have zero responsibility to help the people of these historic tribes. Keeping it and improving the connection to their culture is the better option.

  10. I love the video and what the hawks are doing for them and thank you for doing it.
However I have a request. Two requests.
1- bring back the fun videos before Kane and Toews retire
2- we know Toews can play the guitar (allegedly) but we’ve never seen him play the guitar and I would love to see him either teach a tutorial or absolutely SHRED his guitar. Thank you. Go hawks.

  11. Stop wasting our money and your time on non-hockey matters. Either shutup, give the land back, or move to Europe.
