To get Chychrun, you have to give up an arm and leg for him. Perfetti, Heinola and the 1st round pick have to be in the package, with another prospect such as Gustafsson. It amazes me how your GM won a Stanley Cup with the Blackhawks, especially with the Kyle Beach controversy.

Not going to argue with the coach. I think we need to shake up the core. Schiefle or Wheeler need to go. Wheelers contract makes him unmovable and Schiefle at 28 and still 2 years on his contract should bring a nice return. Don't want to move him but a shakeup is needed.
I saw someone below say you should do this for the leafs. You offer a unique perspective, you break down a team or a player using your analytics, you just don't talk about them. No one else does this. Much as i don't like the leafs, if you did this for the leafs or habs you would see growth in your channel. Only problem for me is there are only so many hours in the day and your Jet coverage may suffer.

The penguins still have most of the boxes but they are on the decline. This year might be the last to get a cup. If not the penguins dynasty and Crosby era for that matter would be officially over

it's funny about it. The Jets in 2018 had Byfuglien, Trouba, Myers, Enstrom, Chiarot, Morrisey, and Poolman as your defense corp that help the team make it to the Western Finals. All you have is Morrisey from the 2018 roster. It be nice if Trouba would have stayed, but he wanted out. If he had stayed, he would have been the Jets number 1 defenceman who has a great shot and he and Scheifele are tight.
They need a full rebuild of their staff. Literally one of the worst managements in whole league.

Scheifele hasn’t made a good check all season. He must be afraid of getting suspended again. Either that, or surviving Covid didn’t make him stronger. Every time Wheeler goes into a corner, it’s hard to say whether he skates off the ice under his own power. Fourth line is junk. Maybe not playing in front of fans really put them into a psychologically funk. Maybe life is just really hard; playing a game, getting paid millions. Maybe the Jets locker room has too many whiners and not enough winners. Sitting at the cap and not making the playoffs, joke. They don’t even look like they’re trying.

The best part of your analysis imo is that you don’t drink the koolaid of the media and announcers which is so smoke and mirrors regarding morrissey. If he stays with the organization making his money I don’t think we can ever go far. You missed his constant unpressured giveaways, allowing players like 6 feet to enter our zone, senseless jumps into the play and the fact that he can’t even pass for one-timers on 5-on-3’s!!! Let alone 5-on-4’s ugh. The degree of difficulty putting a pass into the wheelhouse on a 5 on 3 or 4 on 3 is practically zero lol. Now if you watch schmidt closely, his iq, positioning and coverage have been excellent but all the 1 on 2’s on him covering up for others keeps his offense down. Also because he absolutely refuses to blow the zone or get on the high side of a check. Conversely he puts a real hard pass right in the wheelhouse regularly. That is, if he ever gets the chance again or ever steps on the ice for a powerplay ever again. Flip the entire script and he is easily worth $6m per year, add 10-15 more points on PP1 and with a responsible left d pairing (that leaves Dillon essentially). Massive rebound from last year in Vancouver where he wasn’t the feature film with hughes and oel. A hidden diamond for the jets this year. Oh and after this season I believe morrissey’s no-trade clause kicks in, god help us

I know our team had a number of large issues this season. Defense being a huge one especially bringing up defense from The Moose. I remember it being spoken about somewhere that they have a hard time because The Moose run a different system when gathering the puck behind the net and breaking out. The Jets system wasn't working all year for the most part. Why aren't the Moose and the Jets on the same page with their defense systems. Wouldn't it make sense to practice the same thing so there is a smooth transition when moving up. Am I wrong? is it maybe different systems because of skill or just coaches not wanting to change their plans?
