This isn't Zach's fault. -ultimately this situation should be laid at the feet of Craig Leipold. You can't have 3rd/4th line quality players with a cap hit of $7.5 mil.
However, Zach can still kick rocks. Get off this team and move on.
I agree with everything Pat said. I don’t believe Guerin wants Parise in the top six nor does he want to pay that salary for a third line player. This will be interesting. If he does end up somewhere else I wouldn’t be surprised if he had success with his knack for being in the right place and going to the dirty areas combined with a coach that believes in him.
As for the Parise hate – I agree with @wuBs world. Direct that at Craig and Fletcher because anyone of us would have taken that deal.
Our team as a whole – 1 top line center and 1 top pairing offensive defenseman away from being pretty good. If we’re talking Cup contender add on another 4 pieces. Could two of those pieces be Boldy and Rossi – yes. But our “CUP” team, in my opinion, actually looks drastically different than this season’s team.
