Videos on this channel are so quiet I had to turn the subs on as my small laptop can't get any louder. There used to be a good volume levels though but last month has been pretty bad. Other that that great work!

All that balls to the wall hockey filled with 3rd period comebacks NEVER translates into the postseason. Washington knows this more than any other team with winning all of those Presidents trophies and no cup until they were underdogs.
Why are the refs calling games like regular season games in some series then completely letting everything go here

If Bobrovsky wasn't so much better than Vanacek, the Caps would have won in a blowout
That was one of the best playoff performances the Caps have had. Easily the best since 2018.
If the caps when game 2, then and only then will this series have some serious intrigue heading into Washington
Bobrovsky deserved to be one of the three stars, but so did Vanacek. I believe that if the Caps had started Samsonov, they would have lost this game. The Capitals did play well, but if it wasn't for Vanacek, I don't think it would have been just a 2-1 game in the third period and I don't think the Capitals would have been able to come back and win.
I'm glad the Capitals went with Vanacek, he's just better than Samsonov right now.

florida won president trophy and think its going to equal a cup, caps have been there done that. Pressure on panthers while caps get to play loose and free for once, last time caps were. overlooked they won the cup.

A few thoughts from a Caps fan:
– I think I'm more scared being up 1-0 than if they had lost game 1. Caps have a lousy record when going up early in a series.
– Can we get some love for the incredible pass by Backstrom to Oshie on the GWG?
– Carlson also left the game right at the end after a questionable hit by Bennett in the last 30 seconds. If both he and Wilson are out, bad news.
– Great game but not sure if the Caps can keep it up, especially if injuries mount. I remember how good they looked early against the Canes a few years ago, then after winning the first two games it's like they completely ran out of gas.
– Really enjoying your channel! Glad I found it.
Just one game, but nice to see the Caps playing well. I have my tickets for game 7 already. Still a long road before then if there is even a game 7. Hopefully they will continue to play well and squeeze through this round. We'll need Tom Wilson back soon.

As a bolts fan there’s nothing that brings me more joy than watching the scum panthers lose their 1st at home Stanley cup game. I don’t care if the bolts get blown out in the first round by the leafs as long as the Capitals knock them pussies out on the first round.
I've been a long suffering Panthers fan. I jumped on the bandwagon in 96, and have stayed with them since. My expectations are extremely low, and got lower when they won the President's Trophy. Last night definitely wasn't the same team that played the previous 82 games (81 if you don't count the last one against The Habs). I'm just hoping they make the proper adjustments and we'll see where it goes from there. I really hope they're able to overcome and at least make it out of the first round for the first time in 26 years.
the no icing call just before 2-2 was really strange. he chips the puck from behind his own blue line down to the florida zone. that is an icing every time. 2-2 should never have happened, thus this would've been an OT at worst.
Florida will bounce back in game 2. I hope it's a 4 game sweep from game 2 onwards.
I watched both the Caps and the Penguins games….trying to focus on two games at oncegave me a new appreciation for what THG does all year long…..watching multiple games at the same time.

Bob played well, the rest of the team not so much. They didn't have any jump at all for some reason. Seemed like I was watching a preseason rather than a playoff game. They have had to expect the Caps to clog up the middle and yet had no answers. And those turnovers…what was Weegar thinking being the last man between him and his goalie.

I understand that the refs not calling penalties in the playoffs, but the refs affected this game in other ways. Barkov getting tossed from a faceoff on a 5 on 3 pk where it didn’t look like he even flinched doesn’t help. And the Kuznetsov’s goal was immediately after a blatantly missed icing call
I have been saying this panthers aren’t that bad of a threat when I heard we were playing them instead of the rangers. I was actually hyped all we have to do is shut down the top two lines and we did that last night even without Wilson. I think the caps are very slept on when it comes to experience and depth.
It’s funny how everyone picks the Panthers over the Caps while the Panthers won the Presidents Trophy, haven’t won a playoff round in over 20 years, Bobrovsky doesn’t have good playoff numbers meanwhile the Caps have been a continuous playoff contender for over a decade, had the best road record in the entire league this year and when they won it all in 2018 they also were considered an underdog and were also amongst the most successful teams in playoff history on the road that run.

In my mind’s eye..I have been viewing this matchup for weeks..thinking this is a tough first round for panthers. This Caps core knows the postseason.. resourceful talented wise and aging well…
The secret is to not take a 4+ goal lead against the Panthers. If you can keep that lead down to 1 or 2 goals, you're OK!

Washington played very well tonight. They whiffed on a lot of shots, and could of had even more. Bobrovsky was very good. It's hard to keep Florida off the score sheet for almost 2 periods, and the Caps did that. A fun game.
The Panthers looked rusty and over rested, sloppy. I was shocked how much of a liability Weegar who IS a great S man was on the ice.
Reffs in this game were just bad. Every other game I thought was good but this was like normal playoffs lol.
Bobrovsky & Montour lost this game for the Panthers on that 3rd goal… if you looked up "Dumb Luck" in the dictionary, TJ "Sochi" would be the face next to it…
