  1. Let's be honest though, when you're already deep in the PR hole, you probably should drop a blank check to the guy. Losing one of the best ambassadors to your brand is incredibly difficult to accept, and it makes me really disinterested.

  2. Well isn't this a shit show. Hopefully we'll get a great voice when this team gets back into contention. Still though, this sucks donkey!

  3. Any way you slice it, it’s another PR disaster for the Blackhawks. He was literally bawling on AM 1000 at 5 pm today. There’s no way this is on Edzo!

  4. The organization is in shambles. It’s like it was prior to old man Wirtz’s death

  5. Wondering if Edzo was asking for some kind of eventual front office, or decision making part in a future contract? They did ask him to do that in the GM search, or said they did. Going to work where his brother who is asst. GM, bringing his son with him, you know that family is going to now be deep into the Kraken org in the future. His kids are all grown, married, getting married, etc, so ties to Long Grove area can end too if he wants. He can write a blank check with the Kraken. Bet Hawks said
"No" to something he asked for, beyond money. Wirtz, Faulkner looking like idiot savants here. We're in for at least 4 years of miserable hockey on and off the ice. And CHGO needs to think about being more fan friendly instead of lecturing "how we should feel" about things…yeah, its Ok to be meatballish here Jay and Company—Hawks have made it easy to do. Let us work through it, have the feeling of it and we'll move on, dont deny the wackiness to all of it.

  6. I’ll support the team thru the rebuild. But if they change the logo, I’m done.

  7. I thought that the reason that Colby Cohen did games last year was because they were trying him out for the game analyst job.

  8. olczyk was OK with Foley, but on the national broadcasts he thinks it's all about him. he talks more than the play by play guys do. one thing for sure i won't miss "hold onto the puck a second longer"…. i hope Forsland, great play by play announcer, tells him to STFU when he's calling the play…

  9. Very disappointed. Eddie is one of or THE best color analyst in hockey headed to the hall of fame. I wish the best for him in the future. Blackhawks fans will be subject not only to losing hockey but God knows what color commentary at a time where he would have been an asset. A brutal development.
