Not as worried about the holes on D with the additions of defensive minded forwards in the bottom 6 and how well they played under Boudreau. The forward core and Demko are looking great. Hoping for a return to the playoffs!

Just keep Myers. It always makes me laugh that yes fans want to move his contract but then how do you replace your best RHD on a team that needs more not less RHD? It's laughable. You take away from the forward group or LD to add another RD and only after accomplishing that can you consider trading Myers. Just keep chaos giraffe.

I (?? we ??) dislike Boeser because: A – He can't skate with his linemates; he's one of the slowest forwards on the team; B – He doesn't appear interested in swatting a mosquito off his arm, let alone make a hockey play forechecking with, DARE I SAY IT, a "hit" !!!! along the boards! Here's a Boeser shift:
Puck drops, he skates for open ice; receives a pass, and relays to someone else that's already ahead of the play; receives a DROP PASS, as he's been huffing to get up with the rest of the play; takes a shot over the net; puck goes into the corner, where he comes in, pokes his stick, and sweeps in a curl away from the physical play, as he'll need a head start if the puck starts coming out of the offensive end… Hahaha… Thanks for coming. Trade him, while all these "experts" still think he's actually valuable!
Until they move Hughes, Garland, and Myers, they're doomed to mediocrity. I'm sure Bruce will get the team competitive, but the liabilities on defense are still going to plague them when it matters the most. But, heh, maybe Demko can carry them even more this season, eh?

Due to what they inherited from Jim Benning, I like the moves so far. Not trading away draft picks and desperately making stupid trades because of the media. They must stay firm and continue on their vision to make this work. The cap problems will work with patient and the defence will work in time. I really believe in what they have will continue with very a very successful and surprising results this year and will make the playoffs. From being a non playoff team theirs a lot of players on this team who wanna prove themselves and because of that this will only be a positive impact on the team but let’s find out this year.

Bad idea to trade Garland, Boeser is a worse player who costs more, trade Boeser. Only a guy who doesn't understand the game wants to keep an over paid career minus lead foot like Boeser in preference to Conor Garland. Boeser is a career minus player because he can't skate, $6.65m for a power play specialist because he doesn't skate well enough to take a regular shift is too much. What is it with you fans and Brock Bowser, is it his puppy face, is that why you like him so much, because it's obviously not his performance which does not live up to his paycheque? Brock Bowser has lost the "Duke is sick" excuse that he has been using the past 3 years and he still sucks, Brock Bowser has GOT to GO …!!!
I feel like miller and petterson should be on the same line. Their offensive production is what's gonna power this team.

Very little to do without trading a roster piece.. the prospect pool is garbage and with recently departed 5th and 6th overall picks and zero return for them, this team should be quite stacked, but it's not, and it's going to be quite some time before this team can hope to be a true contender.
If the Canucks can't handle one or two overpriced contracts then I guess they're screwed

Pettersson’s game is well suited for a 2 way centre, it’s kind of funny to hear you say that he should be on the wing.
Scotty Bowman was a genius of a coach.One idea he came up with was a Russian 5.Three forwards Federov,Larionov and Mogilny I do believe and 2 Russian defenders.The idea is puck control especially on the power play.
The system takes 2 years to fully develope.The Canucks have 3 Russian forwards but not a center in the bunch.The Canucks have Meyers and Ottawa has Zub.If he will play in Vancouver.Next a left shot Gavrikov from Columbus .Zub and Gavrikov played at SKA together.Podkolzin is good but a Russian center would be needed.This will take two years to be affective
Hey. It's not like OEL and Garland are bad or ineffective players. Yeah, the OEL contract is too pricey. But I still think the OEL and Garland deal is defensible. I mean, to carry Louie, Beagle and Roussel for another year would not have gone down well with fans. Benning gambled that he could dump those contracts and give the team a decent shot at the playoffs. The team's bad start nixed that possibility, but there's a pretty good chance the team can snag a playoff spot this coming season. If that happens, I expect OEL and Garland to be solid contributors in making it a reality.
I don't know why fans or media think Pettersson can't be a center or a top 6 center, he played poorly the first half last year BECAUSE he was on the wing with JT Miller and both like to carry the puck and drive a line, once Boudreau moved him to center he played much better with almost any wingers thrown at him. The Lotto Line used to be successful because Pettersson was young and followed Miller's lead but now he is clearly the most skilled Canuck and probably will be the best offensive forward if not this year than the next. He was light but putting on weight and size with age and he should easily be able to play center as long as he gets better at faceoffs which is typical with almost every young center, he has the height to be able to play against other big centers once he gains the strength. Pettersson and Horvat still have the potential to be an ideal 1C/2C pair with some talented wingers spread around and Miller will likely be an overpriced and aging asset in a crowded top 9 much like Tavares in TO.
I think the new Admin has done a good job considering. Benning and company has the teams balls tied to a bed post. Have to have patience to untie the knot.
Miller being toxic can be traced back to Corey Hirsch pulling a whopper out from somewhere. He had no proof and he admitted that there was none but he said it anyways. Sigh. But Millers days are numbered because when you project the next salaries of all the core members of the team, it just doesn't add up will Millers $8+M on the books too. Allvin is really in a jam with the cap and we'll start to see what the resolution looks like closer to the trade deadline imo

unless they have a trade up their sleeve their is nothing to do. They cant do much without moving money out. Teams are mostly locked in now and those with cap space arent interested in JT miller
We need to move guys like Myers, Pearson, Dickinson and also miller. I wouldn’t mind throwing in dipietro as a sweetener maybe a pick. But wether miller gets traded or not determines our fate
