Now well now hes the corner they dump it into Unless of course Holl is on the ice. How sad they still dump to Holls corner even when a forward is playing the other defence positon

I would never break up Bunting-Matthews-marner. They score over 6 goals every 60 minutes. They are the best line in the NHL, scoring like 62 goals in 52 games 5-on-5. Why ruin this? Why try to fix a line – especially with an over-ager – that doesn't need fixing?
What you really need to do is find a playmaker like Marner and give him to Tavares. That would fix the 5-on-5 stats for the 2nd line, which are trash. Both Tavares and Nylander were -9, and they only scored 3.45 goals every 60 minutes, but they also allowed 3.45 goals every 60 minutes. They didn't even make the top 40 lines in the league. This is a really, really big problem. Any trade for forwards should be directed to solving this problem.
So I guess I don't like this trade, because it doesn't actually fix the problems with the 2nd line. You're solving problems that don't exist. You should be focusing on trading for a play-maker for Tavares with Muzzin + Kerfoot cap money, and look at dumping Nylander too just to find a winger who is a bit more positionally aware. That would really change things. Nylander is good at scoring off the rush and getting power play goals, but he's really not consistent 5-on-5 and he's responsible for too many positional mistakes. He is also very streaky – we don't need that.
So you want to trade Muzzin AND a pick? Hard no. Full stop. Period. Say what you want about Muzzin… for 7 games in the playoffs, he was a superstar.

I don’t believe Michael Bunting is coming off the first line
Provarov to the Leafs would be an amazing move, the blueline would be even more lethal. But getting JVR?? I don't like this idea — Bunting – Matthews – Marner is a wicked line, and they gel very well. Bunting is scrappy, he goes into the corners, and I think it would be silly to mess with this already amazing line. Provarov is definitely an interesting idea, and would def be an upgrade. Thanks for the upload !!

Love how none Flyers Fan want to trade Provy to their teams . the problem with Flyers the other Defensemen aren't Skilled enough to let Provy be Creative with puck like when Matt Niskanen was here . They got Ellis who i think was Damaged goods and i don't think he will be ready for the start of the season either. The other Problem both JVR & Provy Cap hit are almost 14 Mil and both teams are over the Cap right now . I know a move should happen before Training Camp just don't know when the hell it may happen . At the 2022 Draft there where rumors a couple teams asked about JVR but also wanted Picks in a deal for him . The right side should be Deangelo , Ristolainen,Braun at the start of the season that is why i think Ellis will be out awhile. I know the Maple Leafs can take Ellis contract off are hands lol . Love my home team Flyers and NHL hockey a couple players i don't yes Crosby is one of them he is a damn good player. But instead of just playing the game he tries draw penalties and get mad when it don't work out and throws him off his game he didn't do that as much the last couple Cup runs . im 99% muzzin is gone…leafs got benn full time and mete aswell both just signed and these arnt marlie players…look at their cap (over) and look at all their D now…benn..mete..reilly..lijegren.. gio(just signed)sandin wants 3 mill why not signed yet but they will give him just south..plus their rumors muzzy wants back to king aswell leafs need to drop cap space as they atm are well over muzzy to kings im 99% then sandin at about 2.8 mil i think whats going down and that should put them under cap…i also think kerfoot is on the move aswell and his 3.5 mill contract but i think the leafs have 2 seperate trades in the works..kerfoot maaybe to flyers actually but i hope leafs keep kerfoot hes good forechecker..super fast and leafs best penalty killer..

Not a big fan of Provy or JVR, but if they were going to trade Provy, why would they not have drafted Jiricek rather than Gauthier. Would have preferred drafting a young Dman anyway, but nothing Fletcher has done has made sense, so maybe this could happen. Their priority should have been getting Gaudreau, but they really have made a total mess of things.

D'Angelo has had a bit of his attitude criticized I know but never forget this guy is a damn great player so it was not really stupid for the Flyers to get him over Johnny Gaudreu ok I kind of agree yes but Tony is still again a great choice
Well I agree that the Leafs need to take chances but the chances they must take in my opinion are that they need to trade their too 5 for another top 5 this might work to make the team better and I know the devil you know is better than the one you don't but talk about jumping into the deep end with both feet first this is a true chance this is the true risk the Leafies have to make

Every year I look forward to hearing stories about Maple leafs trading all their unwanted or overpaid players to eager other teams….excluding Edmonton who actually does want their cast offs.
You can't give up a first round pick to get rid of the JVR contract. Sure, the Leafs could, because they were still projected to be a good team when they did that to get rid of Marleau's contract, but the Flyers could very likely finish near the bottom of the standings, so they could be giving up the pick that drafts Connor Bedard.
No matter what you want or need FLYER fans ( me being one) we need to clear cap space now. Not next year or just dump our GM.
