So, since Kane has challenged the termination, I guess the Sharks could just say "OK, not terminated then". And that would give the Oilers Kane on less term than they would probably have to give him otherwise, and at the lower end of his asking price range.
If the Oilers are to dump a negative asset like Kassian or Barrie, then I think they'll have to give up a good one too, like Puljujärvi. Puju and Kass for Kane?
Fun trivia btw – Kass is a word in Swedish, and it means really bad / useless.

It's going to be tricky to be able to afford Kane with what the Oil need and what the Oil have to get what they need. Good depth and a reliable goaltender are the order of the day.
Kane costs 4m more than Kass and the Oil only have like 7ish available with Yams, Cloud, Kulak, and a goalie, at the very least, needing new contracts.
Putting Ken in a tough spot at the BEGINNING of the season, isn't going to win a cup. He would probably need to move Kass, JP, a prospect, a couple of picks, and a MIRACLE to get SJ to retain salary.
I think the only way Kane gets to Edm, is if he signs for less than he's worth.

Interesting proposal and could work for both teams. If you look at it through Kane’s eyes you would want your contract honoured and play wherever you wanted. That said where else can he play with a second team all star 🥴. Another joke. Still not sure about losing JP but no issues with Barrie and Kass Gone. Keep the vids rolling

pray we keep Jesse, yes a lil slower on development but he has size speed and hands. He could be a huge playoff asset, I realize not great showing this year but all in all he is improving and you cannot increase size by practice. JP reasonable 2 year contract 🙏
I'm not against keeping Kane at a fair contract, we damn near won game 4 without him though, that said Holloway has 82 games too develop along with yam's and PJ so rather not sacrifice our young guys for large contract, I realize this goes against the majority vote but we need a balance of young and veteran players in hopes McLeod and others bring high intensity.
Edmonton Needs to trade McDavid
I think if the arbitrators side in favour of Evander, then the Sharks would be desperate to offload that contract, specially considering that it is not likely that Evander will play for them. Given this scenario, the Sharks will be on the hook for 7 million per year, If I am Holland, I'd be making a deal where the Sharks are responsible for half of Kane's salary, plus whomever else in the trade.
