Do you get as interested and invested in the line combos and d-pairings as much as I do?
i'm interested that they have 3 scoring lines, so line combinations is important. i am most interested to see who plays with BO as he has trouble meshing with certain type of wingers.
one of my most loved comments is…even a player with a 300 batting average, fails 2/3rds of the time. i love the turkey drumstick. that is almost a complete meal for me. imo hogs stays with the club all year.
Been a Canucks fan for 48 yrs… they seem to get short end of the stick… almost every step of the journey. Which will make the Stanley Cup Championship even more special when we win it! This year! 😊

I find pairings interesting since I'd like to see that management is exploring options for who fits where (e.g. with OEL up with Hughes, we need that 2nd pair LD for Myers, and whether the heavy line of 70-9-6, shutdown line of 65-53-92 and speed line of 96-40-8 will be together).
Has the whole team been replaced with a pane of glass?
wouldn't be the canucks without injuries… can't say I'm as excited for this season after all these injuries are starting to pile up. I can only assume more will come
They're getting injured 1 player per game, what the hell are they doing out there.
Chemistry between players is important. Some players bring the best out of each other. It is not just about matching skill sets.
Lazar is a good choice for Bo's line. He plays the game like Bo, and makes the line more physical and defensive.
I would like to see a big, physical player on Pete's line. (I don't like the Kuz/Pete/Hoglander : its too small…)
I would prefer a Bertuzzi/Miller type of player on Pete's right side.

When you look up the word jinxed, you will see reference to the effect of one Gio Palermo on the Canucks futures, with his broadcasting of the "knock on wood" spiritual defence against demonic injury attacks on our beloved Vancouver Canucks team. I love the kid but he is leaning too much toward the Voodoo for me to be totally on board with, lol. Tough break for the new Russian Rocket in Mikheyev, really looking forward to watching him play. Loved what he did for the Leafs so can't wait to see him fly, hope he isn't too badly injured. That could be a big blow to the improvement of the team but there are others to take up the slack in the event of a 6 weeker.

Clay, this is not directly related but I think its implications can be HUGE – there are now allegations that Canucks owner Francesco Aquilini had abused his children. The allegations were read in court as Aquilini and his ex-wife are caught in a legal battle over child support. As in many of the cases down south, when the owner of a team is caught in a major scandal, they would be forced to sell the team. If such is the case with Aquilini, the implications for the organization can be immense.
I love line combinations, it's something I follow with great interest. I always like to look at the line combinations on CBC broadcasts in the old days
