Edzo was as big of a part of our dynasty as any player or coach. Thank you for all of your time and energy spent giving us fans the best experience we could ever have watching the hawks.

I really wanted edzo to try and become head coach or GM for the Hawks. His hockey knowledge is priceless

Get rid of all your favorite players… might as well get of your favorite broadcaster too. They’d already lost Pat Foley, losing Edzo is really lame. But there probably won’t be many viewers watching Blackhawks games the next couple of years, anyway. Didn’t think much of Foleys replacements
Good luck Eddie. Tough to see you go, but this is a good point to make a change if that's what you want. He said it. He's a Hawk for life and so am I. This stuff happens and hopefully this organizational change will lead to another run.

The Blackhawks only want their broadcaster working for the Hawks only. That would be my guess.
I am very disappointed Eddie is moving on. A class act and incredible color commentator who should be in the hall of fame. He will be so incredibly missed on the broadcasts. Blackhawks fans have been truly blessed. The best of wishes to Eddie and good luck!

Eddie ! We love you ! You were one of the many reasons I started to play hockey at 16. I loved your break downs as a kid and it’s helped me a lot now that I’m 30. We will truly miss you Buddy!

Eddie Olczyk is one of the worst color commentators there is in the NHL. He hasn't earned a 5 year contract with the Blackhawks. Have you heard the difference in his voice on NBC Sports Chicago's Blackhawks' telecasts compared to national telecasts of NHL games? He sounds excited on national telecasts, but is subdued on local broadcasts. It's as if he doesn't care as much on local broadcasts as he does on national telecasts. Also, he has an absolute disdain for the LA KINGS as do the so-called analysts on the NHL channel, and as Mike Emrick and Co. did prior to retiring. There is no doubt in this viewer's mind that he, Mike Emrick & Co., and the analysts at the NHL channel wanted the LA Kings to lose the 2012 and 2014 Stanley Cup Finals.
