  1. Hypothetically – without tanking, what would the trade look like in order for the Oilers to hold the 1st overall pick come draft day in 2023. You should consider making a video with all the NHL teams and what the Oiler costs would be. McDavid & Bedard would be incredible. Obviously a pipe dream, but if one is willing to cheer for the Oilers then we are okay with the dreaming part already. Cheers.

  2. I just don't see the Habs and the Oilers being good trading partners. They're both in the same situation as the Oilers need to sign McLeod and the Habs need to sign Dach

  3. I’m not happy about the Barrie trade idea. Barries output contributes greatly to where the Oilers rank. If you can’t replace those points next season will disappoint when we do worse and barely make the playoffs. Pick a forward. Leave the D alone.

  4. Foegle makes sense. Barrie is a good defencemen. Murray scored zero goals last year. Why would you get rid of the pp specialist foegle played hot potato with the puck all year. Holloway or any other prospect can do what foegle did last year.

  5. Already thin on Right handed dman, lets just trade one of the best PP specialists in the nhl… smaaaart also barries defense got a whole lot better with woody, and dave manson they even had him on the pk for a bit at the end of the season

  6. Last season Barrie's defensive play was suprisingly adequate. His 48pts in 56 games in 20-21 and 41pts in 21-22 would be impressive on may teams. I agree that Barrie would still have some accreditive value over and above his cap hit. Perhaps a 2nd Rd pick? or a 4th and a midling prospect?

  7. I like Barrie however with Bouchard coming into his own, it makes sense to move him and the contract. He’s okay in our zone, he not overly fast and let’s face it, we have him for his PP production. I think the Habs will totally see value with him after losing Petry. I would like to see a 2 rd round pick for him. Not interested in a 4th and a prospect. We have sooo many prospects in the system right now, we really need cap space.
