  1. Rangers owned them in the regular series . Tampa will be all rust for game one . Rangers in six

  2. I'm not a fan of Tampa or Colorado so I'm going with Rangers vs Oilers SCF!

Canes were 0-6 on the road in the playoffs, took penalty after penalty against the rangers, and couldn't score a powerplay goal to save their lives. But yes, I'm sure Anderson would have provided some much needed help on that AHL level powerplay! Canes would have scored 10 powerplay goals in the series and swept the Rangers if they had a real goalie! Sorry for any typos, I still have too many tears in my eyes!

  4. This is annoying as hell to watch as a Devils fan. Feel like the Rangers have been getting outplayed most of the playoffs. Igor and them playing fringe goaltenders are the main reason they got this far please beat these frauds Tampa 🙏

  5. We all know it'll get down to who cracks first; Andrei or Igor.

That said, the level of heart, grit, and shear determination on this Rangers team is astounding.
At the beginning of the season, no one expected them to even make the playoffs, yet here they are making a serious run for the Cup.
They keep finding ways to battle back and prove all the naysayers wrong.

However, this will be the first round that they have faced an elite level goal tender in the playoffs.

  6. We match up better with Tampa than we did with Carolina. Regardless it’s probably going to 7 and anything can happen.

  7. Reminder Tampa fans
    Do NOT CHANT IGOR
It didn't work out for the Pittsburgh penGOONs and the Carolina Drizzles,
Rather cheer your own players, and chant their names

  8. One thing the Lightning are amazing at doing is making teams pay for even the little mistakes . That’s how they took advantage at key moments to get here and if NYR can’t play with discipline and constancy then that’s what I think will make the difference

  9. Tampa in 4. Tampa owns the whole league, no one will ever dethrone us! We’ll keep winning the cup year after year.

  10. Now to talk about his wild opinions: New York is actually a better matchup than Carolina. We’re grittier, physical, and yea we barely ever give up unless it’s a disallowed goal (we seem to stop playing after goals get taken back). We won all 3 against them in the season, and I get it’s a totally different style in the playoffs. New York has home ice for the ECF so I feel a tad bit more confident. Everyone knows how good Tampa is and that’s a fact. What’s a fact is NY has been the underdog and the least experienced team (I think not 100% sure?) in the playoffs and still very young. We’re not full of veterans compared to Tampa, but damn we’re resilient and gritty. I don’t think Carolina could shut down Tampa by any means.

  11. Rangers in 7; Tampa Bay is well rested but they could be rusty; Rangers are going to be sore, but the adrenaline is going to be flowing in the building to give them some energy. Let's go Rangers!

  12. I believe that the New York Rangers are the team of destiny this year. Doesn't matter if Tampa Bay Lighting are better. Plus having Igor Shesterkin certainly helps the Rangers chances against the Lighting.

  13. Tampa is a different team in the playoffs than in the regular season so I don't think the 3-0 regular season record means much if anything at all. I don't think home ice means too much either. I am sure the Garden will be rockin' but I don't think Rangers fans can outdo Leafs fans and Tampa went 2-2 in in Toronto in that series. Tampa plays tough defense, but also scored more goals in the regular season than either Carolina or Pittsburgh. The Atlantic also is the tougher division so I feel that Tampa did what it did against slightly tougher competition than New York. I think the hidden x factor in this series is Brayden Point. If the Lightning get Point back by game 3, its tough for me to see the Rangers beating the Bolts in the series. If Point doesn't come back, I think its even money and goes the distance and either team could win, but I would still give a slight edge to Tampa due to experience and getting rest to heal those veteran bodies by beating Florida in 4 (the Rangers should be fine and maybe get a little boost from no rest, they are younger. Tampa really needed that break). Fun Fact: Tampa hasn't lost back-to-back games in the playoffs since 2019 and Rangers have won 6 straight at home in the playoffs. One of those streaks ends this week.

  14. Carolina was good even during the regular season but not by much over the NY Rangers…. And NY took them in 7 should’ve been 6…. Matchups are great and all but in the playoffs all of that regular season stuff goes out the window. @NYRangers Win the first shift, Win the period and win the series one game at a time

  15. Look! As a Ranger fan, I know we’re clicking on all cylinders which is what you want your team be like during the post seasons. Excuses are not an option! As for TB, it may not look good on paper, but one thing that shouldn’t be over looked; having a 9 day wait May not bode well for them against a team that’s on a roll.

  16. Well now the rangers are playing a starting goalie. Not some third fourth stringer. We will see.

  17. Rangers in 7 first and foremost

Here's something to debate- bigger number
    COL/EDM game one goals-14
    OR
    NYR/TBL total goals-?
