It's probably just my scars of prospects not turning out but Slaf is honestly starting to worry me. I remember telling people that KK is only 18 and will be just fine as well as many other prospects.
I really liked how good Murray was in net and I'm really loving the play of Malgin and Robertson. The depleted defense core is concerning but I'd rather face the adversity early on than later in the season heading into the playoffs etc. Hopefully this is the worst of it. knocks on wood

I think Poulin has a guaranteed job this year in Laval. After this year, I imagine they'll want to get Vrbetic or Nissen Dichow in as the backup in Laval. Then again, by then Primeau might be up in Montreal, if all goes well, so there might still be a backup spot.

Didn't see the game, but had to be bizarre having Kerfoot and Jarnkrok playing on the blueline. Pre season game, can't read too much into it for the most part, but Malgin is getting fair bit of accolades, and a good start for Murray, no matter who was shooting on him. Astounding that the Habs #1 pick is already getting some heat.

It seems the mentality St Louis’ had for this preseason game was: let’s see how good this team could do when I make each line matchups that consist of players who’s play style do not work whatsoever with their line mates. Slaf- Pitlick – Armia? Never in a million years. Denis Malgin is a strong player, the leafs should push to rid kerfoot and engvall (which I’m sure they have been) so they can have a bottom 6 of home grown ahl depth.
