A quick note, i’s my understanding that the Sabres can offer sheet below $10.503M as an offer sheet’s average annual that determines the compensation tier is determined by a max of five years. Thus if the Sabres offered him $9Mx7, the AAV that determines the compensation be would be $12.6M, or four 1st round picks.
