Skinner is an Oiler no doubt. He's either #2 or he's a 1B. Depends on who comes in. Smith either retires or is on LTIR
Skinner would have to claim waivers and would be claimed wirhout a doubt by someone.
I believe Husso or Campbell would be good signings. Would not be interested in Kuemper; feel like he’s overrated. Casey from Pittsburgh is a gamble.
I think Skinner should be given a chance. He should play 30+ games so he can get his feet wet. Look at Jake Oettinger and Logan Thompson. Dallas and Vegas gave them a chance when their goalies were hurt or not playing well. But I would try to go 💯 on Keumper and sign a potential Stanley Cup winner(if the Avs win the cup).
Even Vasilevskiy would have a hard time in Edmonton. They need to stop thinking their defence is anything else that shitty. Just look at their shots against every game.
Overpaying for a goaltender, like Kuemper, Fleury, or even Husso, is just a bad idea, atm. I'm not real big on any of those goalies when compared to Skinner. I'm hoping Mike decides he can run backup for part of this upcoming season.
If not, sign a guy with a good head, rather than stats, to help train the goalie we do have about the ups and downs of being an NHL goaltender on the biggest stage. The position is more about psychology than anything else, never quitting, bouncing back, handling criticism, etc.
Skinner is 1a and Smith(?) is 1b. Make sure to keep some cap space for possible midseason or deadline acquisitions and move on to the rest of the roster. This is not an urgent issue. Ask the friendly agents to find a goalie who WANTS to play here on a reasonable contract and let it take care of itself.
Husso could be a steal. I would prefer if they went for him before Campbell.
Campbell is getting a minimum of 5 million…not any less. I think he is only worth 3.5 million with his limited resume

I am praying we don't sign any of these guys to a long term deal.
I don't care much for stats, especially when looking at goalies (just look at koskinens #'s over the years).
Keumper is severely overrated. I was actually hoping he was healthy against us this past playoffs. Campbell and husso are pretty good but they are gonna get paid.
Bottom line. I don't think any of these goalies should be given 5 x 5 type contracts.
Roll with Skinner and Smith. This team is making playoffs regardless of who is in net. Or add a cheap veteran (someone like holtby). The money saved right now is huge.
