Where do you get your logo/jersey news from?
The patch is nice and it's never made a ton of sense to put patches like that on the shoulders because not many people can see it nobody is looking on the shoulders of the jerseys it's the front of the jerseys that get the most visibility especially on TV the right side of the jersey front is to me the perfect place for something like that when the Stanley Cup Finals patches first appeared in 1989 they had it on the shoulder and they realized that nobody could really see them so they moved them to the right side of the jersey since because people can see it unless your the new york rangers you can't fit the finals patch on the front because of the wordmark so they have to put it on the shoulder but to me front right side is best because that's where we can all see it
New Jersey isn’t the first team to have a shoulder anniversary patch, Edmonton had one on their shoulder in 2019, it’s also worth mention many teams have already announced their advertisements and how they look on jerseys so it’s been confirmed for 6+ months that ads were gonna be on the front opposite to the letter.
I think it would be smart to research topics before you make videos about things.

I do like the Devils 40th Anniversary patch look very sweet coming from a die hard New York sports fan out of the Tri-State Area NY/NJ that watches the 3 local hockey teams in the New York metro area, Devils. Rangers, Islanders also the Islanders 50th Anniversary logo is ok but could of been better.
I think they are putting the Anniversary patches on the shoulders because next season every NHL team is supposed to have the Advertisements on the side of the jerseys remember.
The buffalo sabres had their 50th anniversary patch on the shoulder also
Teams are not required to have an ad on their, so they can still put patches on the front.
For the Panthers 25th anniversary instead of a shoulder patch they put the 25 logo on the other side of the A or C on the front
I’m a huge red wings fan and they don’t have patches and they are coming up in a few years on their 100 year anniversary so it obviously wouldn’t ruin the jersey
The Rangers almost always put patches on their shoulders. Probably because of their diagonal wordmark logo on front of the jersey. The Flyers have also done it in the past. Other than those two I think it's usually done only when teams have multiple patches during the same season. The Red Wings for instance when they had the "Mr I" patch and the "Inaugural Season" patch for Little Ceasar's Arena.
Should be on the chest, but with ads coming it makes sense for the shoulder placement… Smh, never thought we'd see the day the NHL did this.
