  1. Leafs lost this in game 6 with 2 ridiculous mistakes and then it was capped by a weak penalty especially when you consider what the officials were allowing through-out this series. The second penalty to create the 5-on-3 was all Toronto's fault. ….and they paid for it.

  2. I felt that the call back on the Tavares goal changed the dynamic of the game for the Leafs. Calling that interference when they let so much interference go was a travesty. I've seen so much worse called incidental contact…I don't believe it was an intentional pick by Holl. The refs got that call wrong as they do with so many calls especially in a game 7 playoff game.

  3. He has the best young stars and did nothing with the team in playoffs! Played his worst players and trusted the over paid captain J.T… Buy out J.T… fire this coach and invest into some good bottom pairing D today!

  4. This series had the talent of a conference final. Tough first round match up against a bigger more experienced team.

  5. I have no doubt in my mind this team would've won a series against any other team than Tampa and maybe Colorado. They were incredible. The almost unstoppable force met the immovable object.

  6. Dk you keefe should’ve sat Holl and move Blackwell up and move kerfoot down you sucked out coached

  7. Tampa played defensively as a team they were behind there goalie all the way.and they obviously have an amazing goalie. The leafs gave it everything they have all season There also an amazing team, they just need a few more changes. Leafsforever💙 have all the players watch the games and see if there are some takeaways for next season

  8. I said with 10 minutes left in the third the Leafs have to stop taking USELESS point shots, the vast majority of them were blocked and the puck was shot out of the zone, either the coaching staff couldn’t pick up on that or the players ignored them and kept trying to shoot pucks through. It was their inability to change that cost them the game, nobody crashed the net to get a dirty goal, no jam plays, hardly any rebound chances, the lightning didn’t have to move, they just put 5 guys in front of the net and blocked everything while the Leafs tried to get fancy as per usual.

I said it all season; if it wasn’t a no look behind the back sauce pass through 3 opposing players to go top cheese for a highlight reel goal, the Leafs didn’t want to score.

  9. Outcoached 3 years straight , 0-10 when leading a series , 0-5 in game 7”s

    Let’s run it back again!!!!
    What’s the definition of insanity?!!

  10. They had two chances to close out the series, but as usual they choked big time. It seems like after the playoffs their main star's attitude is; "It's OK – I still get paid!"

  11. Tough loss Keefe , but you will get there .. I can see you guys passing around that Stanley Cup .. you guys will get there!! Great season !!

  12. I truly believe that first Tavares goal should have been counted. It would have been a different game. I believe the Leafs would have won this series.

  13. Regular season and playoff are two different games. If you look at the post cap era, the championship teams are mixed of good checking, grinding and speed skill team. They have depth and a non arguable number 1 defenseman. Leafs only has great speed for all lines but no grinders and forechecking success to wear their top lines out. When the other team clogged the neutral zone like game 7 3rd period, leafs had no chance to come back because they never have the line to win the dump and chase game. 5 years of 1st round exit is not just bad luck. It is a problem never got fixed since they lost their Washington series. With the cap, you can buy players to fix the gap. With leafs abysmal draft history after their top 10 picks, it is very difficult to find a solution especially their 4 contracts took 25% of their cap space.

  14. Who has Barry Trotz's contact info? Get him to Toronto, enough of this learning on the job and making excuses.

  15. I love this group. Keefe is wonderful. Dubas and Shanahan too. We had a decent game too.

  16. "That team has the recipe", indeed they do is called playoff experience under utmost pressure and the best coach in the league to move pieces around to be able to win the big games.

  17. Actually youre not right there standing with them. You are hitting the links tomorrow and tampa is preparing for the panthers.

  18. …would you rather miss the playoffs five years in a row…or not make it past the first round five years in a row…?

  19. As much as I love Keefe and Dubas I think it's time for them to go. Dubas is to loyal to his guys. They need to add someone who can drive this team. A guy like jt Miller, that guy came up short with Vancouver but he drove that team to keep pushing. Leafs don't have that. Plus they need someone to play with Tavares. Kerfoot, mikeyev, Kase are not guys Tavares should be playing with. They have to many 3rd line players, and 4th line players.

With Keefe I think he just doesn't have it. Now I hope they don't get trots that's a mistake. They need to find a balance. 2-3 years with the core guys. There wasting it. It's time change it up a bit. They had 5 years to make something happen and have failed. They need to pull a ujuri and trade those prospects, picks and some players who have some cap. You need to go for it. Who cares about the future. Care about now why you still have Matthews, marner and Tavares.

  20. They are extremely talented, and arguably one of the top 3 teams in the NHL. This was an incredible series between two of the most talented teams in history. I agree that the Leafs have come even further than before, and they had the best showing this batch has provided. Look forward to the next season, when they come back with a vengence.

  21. Game 1, 2 & 3 were solid efforts.
Game 4 lacked effort. Could have been another Leafs win.
    Game 5 was solid effort.
Games 6 & 7 the Refs made sure the Leafs did not win this series.

  22. Leafs are more skilled then TB. Tampa was beatable. Maple Leafs sports is weird. If your building a cup contender why would you hire a GM and coach with zero NHL experience? Not to suggest they are not capable of being good but don't think it was a good move. I'm not a fan of the way Dubas structures the team salary. Paying guys 11 or 12 million before winning anything and then low balling others. Its kind of slimy. Big changes should have been made when they lost against Canadians last year.

  23. If they would just make it a best out of 5 we would be good every year!… let's make that happen! NHL!?

  24. Time for a new coach, gm and trade Nylander! 2 BIG, tough, and skilled d-man would also be helpful. Enough is enough, major changes are required, to get this F—ing team past the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. The ONLY team, to LOSE game 7, at HOME, in the first round of the playoffs! Go figure.

  25. I'm Australian and Ice Hockey is a fun diversion during our summer when Aussie Rules is in the off season, but watching or keeping tabs on all 82 games played, watching AM get to 60, watching them lose to crap teams and then torch top teams, then going from a 5-0 game 1 to losing game 6 in OT, then forgetting to set my alarm and the first thing I see in the morning is the Leafs going out 1-2 in G7 absolutely made me sick….. It really bothered me, I can't imagine how the people that went to most of the games, watched all the games, felt after being tossed out by such a tiny margin, again.
I don't agree with the play off system. There should be a lower, or losers bracket where the top teams that lose the first series get a chance against the other losers to fight back into stanley cup contention.
Down here, the top 4 teams of the year get a second chance if they lose the first finals match, and some have successfully come back and won the Premiership ( Stanley Cup equivalent )
I think that there will be a lot of player movement in and out of the Leafs team this year and TBH there's a few passengers making lots of money that could be traded out for players that are far more dedicated and hungry for it…. No reason why this team can't get even better next year. Fuck it hurts to say "next year" but i'm used to it too.

  26. Keefe sounded like he believed Tampa was the better team, hardly the mindset you should have in a playoff series

  27. Holl has been here way too long! He can’t move his feet, he turns over the puck. Ultimately he is just not at the level we need him to be to win. If he cannot back check he should be staying in the offensive zone close to the blue line. Why would he be up near the hash marks playing basketball interfering with an offensive play. I am sorry but this series Keefe and Holl are to be blamed, Keefe for playing Holl when Liljegren had an outstanding game 1 he should have been playing the entire series. Keefe you tried with Holl but he’s not gonna help us win, he needs to go.

  28. Bah ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha…!!! 🤣😂
Listen to the SPINNING going on…
    6 YEARS IN A ROW…!! SIXXXXX…!
    Keep Dubas, and The Shanaplan..!
    This is too much FUN..!!
You are not STANDING with Tampa Bay… They are DEFENDING CUP CHAMPS..! How are the Leafs STANDING with Tampa Bay..??? 😂
