    The Vegas Golden Knights are making a mockery out of the NHL CBA. I hope the NHL can close this loophole in the 2026 CBA negotiation as this is cap circumvention is getting quire ridiculous!
    What NHL team will have a $100 million dollar payroll and still not make the playoffs? It’s not a trick question lol. And congratulations Vegas on being the first NHL team to have $100 million payroll and sucking to the max!

    If Vegas cant make the playoffs, it will remind me of the New York Rangers of the late 1990s and early 2000s.
    A lot of talented players on one team. A lot of high salary players throughout. Enough for at least the final playoff spots.
    On paper, it looked very good. Then they would play and nothing went right for upwards of 90 million dollars of payroll.
    It is great to have many star players. Chemistry between teammates is very important as well. There were in various times, Richter, before concussions, Lindros, Bure, Kovalev, Jagr, Messier, Leecth, Fleury. And then there were the overpaid grinders such as Holik, Kasparitis, Levebvre and such.

    This Kessel signing reminds me of Tyler Hall singing with Buffalo a few seasons back. Sure, it was a low-risk signing, but it didn't pan out at all. I think this will be more of the same.

    Phil is still good great signing. BUT they are severely lacking on LWs and could use a goalie. are they really going to move stone to LW, or do they run marchessault eichel Kessel? Idk phil is a pure rw and is 34, not the signing they needed at all, but still a good one
